I am having a hard time with IP. I have always been over weight and need to lose 15 lbs so I can have knee replacement surgery. The taste and texture of the foods are not very pleasant. Any suggestions?

I puree 4 handfuls of spinach in my ninja then add either 2 packets of either peach/mango or the cranberry pomegranate mix. bam breakfast and lunch and my veggies!

@fredette what brand are those packets? This is what I need to do. I've developed a strong aversion to veggies all of a sudden and just cant seem to force myself to choke them down right now. Hoping it's just temporary.

@jewfish I buy mine only from my clinic right now. so the ideal protein brand. You can do that with any chocolate or vanilla shake too!

This is a diet that works. Some of the foods are pretty good. My favs: Choc chip pancakes, peanut butter and smooth caramel bars, puddings, Choc covered soy puffs, Choc shakes. It’s very do-able. Lots of the bars are good.

Breakfast I have a Muscle Milk with 1c spinach, blended with ice, lunch is a large salad with lemon-olive oil dressing and either Quest chips or Kay’s Natural, snack is GNC Lean bar or another shake, depending on R or UR needed. Dinner lean protein, salad, veggies either steamed, roasted, or air fried.

Your taste buds do adjust overtime and once you are in ketosis your cravings fade. One meal at a time, one day at a time and at the end of the month the inches and pounds lost make it more than worth the effort.

Can you eat the Costco protein bars?

Another tactic is to make sure there is no garbage food in the house. You can clean out the foods that are bad. If they’re not there, you won’t eat it. Family may not be too happy about it, but if they want to help you, they will sacrifice those foods for you.

In order to be able to do this long term, we have to deal with what we should do, use all the ingredients on protocol to create recipes that you like, also, try many things until you know what do you like the most, it's a matter of adjustment and it's for a better health

You’ll lose the weight if you stick with it. Sadly, the taste and texture of the food come with it ‍♀️

You'll find that once you're on protocol long enough, normal food you're used to eating won't taste good or the same. I remember when I first came off plan, I tried chocolate and all I could taste was the fat in it. It kind of turned me off.
