I do great, until the evenings. Then I’m craving everything. I’ve gone into ketosis and still have cravings. What are some of your go to evening survival tricks?

Ice cream was my evening weakness. Protein shake with an extra teaspoon of cocoa powder and lots of ice helped.

@hulett unfortunately, cocoa powder isn’t protocol.

Oh noooooo! I didn't realize. Is it the 3 g carbs/tablespoon that knocks it out? Thanks for your help

@hulett Yes, extras (like seasonings, dressings, water flavors) have to be 0 fat, 0 sugar, 0 carb.

What @corrincorrina said, also distract yourself by doing your nails, a facial, nice long bath, clean out your cupboards and drawers.

I save a “sweet” IP for an evening snack, vanilla square or something similar. My dessert really helps .

I love sipping ice cold water - slowly and constantly (just trickling down my throat) it refocuses my thoughts of the sensation vs the thought of eating.

Drink water. A lot of people don’t even realize that they are in a state of dehydration. Sometimes when you think you are hungry it’s nothing more than your body telling you that it needs water.

Often hunger is really other things. For me evening munchies are about boredom. I need something to occupy me when I am sitting watching TV. I generally save a snack for eve, but doing something with my hands (knitting, crochet) or staying busy, drinking tea, eating celery if I want crunchy snacks are all things that help me. Figure out what is going on for you. It may not be actual hunger but habit, emotions, boredom and knowing will lead u to dif solutions. If you search posts for hunger you will prob find lots of posts about this.

I like the celestial seasonings Apple Cinnamon Spice tea. I would make a large cup and sip on it. No caffeine and it smells wonderful. Same thing in car rides.
