Re-started fully motivated 3 weeks ago. I work in healthcare and the COVID-19 reality hit me at my week 2 and 3. not good for my motivation. I’ve decided to make a conscious effort to not let this insanity derail me. I am on a solid day 2 of forever. any other essential personnel having trouble with stress eating? Not to mention it’s hard to drink all my water wearing a mask all day. ‍♀️ Any ideas on things I can do to help? Thank you! Stay well, everyone!

100% agree! I work in a hospital and the community is constantly bringing in pizza and pasta, making sure I get my water in is so much harder having to wear a mask all day every day, and having vegetables on hand I enjoy eating is hard since I don’t want to go into any stores. It’s been SO hard. On top of not being able to weighin/measure since clinics are closed

Yes, me too! I am going to restart with a clear head (I hope) tomorrow! I started in January and am down 30 lbs, but then all this mess has made it difficult!

Yes. ABSOLUTELY. I'm an ICU RN and a few weeks ago my anxiety level would increase throughout the day as I learned more about the pandemic to the point I was almost having panic attacks watching the news. I reverted to old coping stress mechanisms of carbing out, shoving carbs and sweets in my mouth, not even hungry, and even drank a few times. I've been meeting with my coach remotely for support. Week 2 I decided instead of watching the news, to begin doing BB video workouts and tried to get back on protocol. It's week 3 now, I finally got on the scale and it indicated I was 4 lbs up, which has really motivated me to get back on protocol. But more importantly I need to be as healthy as possible during this crisis and decrease the inflammation in my body caused by eating sugar, plus the additional stress, which will help my immune system. We're all in this together.

@winton yes! I thought the same thing about the inflammation with sugar! Stay well, please!

The water enhancers help curb appetite and also give you the electrolytes and minerals you may need, also eat a extra packet if cravings from stress get to bad

Stay the course and do the best you can. For me, if my mindset is right, and I have to eat something off plan (we just can’t get fresh veggies right now so eating way too many occasional veggies that we have on hand) I can stay the course and not lose motivation. Just do the best you can. You are already under a great amount of pressure. We have been especially praying for all healthcare workers (our precious daughter in law is a nurse practitioner in a hospital). Wish you all the best.

@bannockburn0 thank you! I am a nurse practitioner too. I work in a high risk pregnancy clinic . best to you and your daughter-in-law. Stay well!

@redden382 thank you! She works in a hospital that is almost entirely COVID at this time. So much for you to deal with all the emotions of high risk pregnancy on top of COVID concerns. Will pray for you specifically. Stay well! ❤️

First, thank you for doing what you do! Thank you for taking the risk to serve. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️. I wish I had an answer to the rest for you. It is important that you drink that water. Can you build a water drinking schedule in? It is very hard in these times. Be kind to yourself. Try to make the healthiest choices in self love perhaps more so than loosing weight. Try to just keep to healthiest choices and not gain any. We can only deal with do much at once. And you need to stay strong. But that doesn't mean carbs, especially sugar carbs will help you. Wishing you all the very very best! ♥️

I get up every morning and think, I only have to do this for the next 24 hours. One day at a time. If I thought I had to do this for the rest of my life, it would overwhelm me, but I can do 24 hours.
