I have been back on IP now for 3 weeks. I am having a VERY difficult time getting back into the swing of things. Had anyone else been off for awhile? What did you do to help get things going? I know that this lifestyle works, just getting discouraged.

Been there. It was so hard to start losing again after having been so successful. Many times I wanted to throw in the towel but I persisted and it started to work again. I got back down to my goal weight and clothes. I just kept focusing on being who I was before my accident (all the meds caused my weight gain). I adjusted/stopped my meds, stopped restricted and only ate snacks and changed product thinking my body was just used to the same thing day in and day out. I know it is hard but be patient and keep plugging forward.

For me, it’s how I feel in my clothes, when I look in the mirror, the scale each morning, and the health of my aging parents or grandmother. That 5 minutes of glorious flavor, is no longer worth my peace of mind, joy, or health. It’s not about motivation, it’s about long-term goals and new ways of thinking. You’ve got this!

I went off and gained some back just restarted! I keep thinking of all my nice small size clothes I bought in my closet and how great they looked on me! My goal is to get back to that same size and wear them again!

@jordanna I get it. My daughter is a night shift nurse- so when she does protocol we eat according to her wake/sleep/ work cycles. Time when you eat based on your wake time. For instance- she wakes up at 3pm- she isn’t that hungry when she wakes up- so she has her coffee and a shake. then she gets ready for her shift- she Packs a salad, her 6 oz of protein, and brings free veggies for noshing and one IP “snack”. When she Gets home in the morning and gets ready for bed around 8 AM she has her “IP nighttime snack” before she goes to sleep.

I do 3 12 hour shifts a week so bouncing back and forth from days to nights makes it difficult for me
