When I signed up and I paid a bunch of money I was told that I would be in ideal protein for life. Now this is just my opinion, but they should have to help you find another clinic that will continue to offer you the ideal protein. I would think if they can't do that then they should refund you your money because they are no longer providing you a service that you paid for. I know I would fight it, a paid a lot of money for the program and a continue to pay a ton of money for the foods, I want to have a coach that is therefore me every week when I need her, a knowledgeable coach.

@duodecimal5 agree! My coach is still willing to help, but not carrying th Ip foods  so I’m wondering if there is such a thing where I can still order from someone to keep on protocol, I’ve tried other low carb brands, and haven’t had the same results.

My clinic will ship it. My coach will do telehealth. No transition or registration fees. Or fees to talk to the coach.

What brand did they switch too? Mine switched to SHIFTSETGO. The switch happened at the exact same time I moved to the maintenance phase. I’m maintaining well. The quality of the food is a little better. (Less supplements).

@rancidity5 it’s like a brand where they can self brand the packaging to make it look like it’s coming from their chiro office.

Question. I’ve seen this mentioned a few times the past couple of weeks. I’m just getting back in the loop again. Why are some IP clinics switching brands? Are they still following IP protocol? Ok to delete question, if not appropriate. Thanks.

@jalisajalisco83 thank you. Not a good situation.

Good conversation- ideal protein should do something about the clinics that lie to dieters pretending they still do IP and when you get there try to sell you something else .

We owned a clinic in northern wis that burned down. ? 6 years ago. The closest clinic was Eau Claire which was 2 1/2 hours a way. In your paperwork, there should be a phone number or email where you can call and talk with someone. I referred my client to an online IP clinic that sent the food also. However, I don’t think anyone did because food was more expensive due to shipping. They did require proof of being a current member, of which I was able to save all the records. You should be able to get copies of yours from your clinic. We did not have the cash reserve to reopen as IP required us to. start over as a new clinic. I do feel, that for me, their protocol is the best. I’ve maintained for a few years now. I’m metabolic syndrome and is the only approach that keeps on working. Hope things work out for you.

IP should have a list of clinics in Wisconsin or Minnesota. Many of these clinics will sell to you if you can show you are an IP client. However, your old clinic might not keep you since you wouldn’t be buying from them and that’s how they make money to pay salaries and keep the lights on. Also, look at your contract. if it says, you had to buy x amt of “ IP product”, you might be able to push it and get your money back since they are no longer providing that product. it is worth a look.

Again, adm, ok to delete if I’ve overstepped my comments.

Not sure which clinic you were at but Prevea has Ideal Protein. They call it Ideal Weigh. You might want to check with their clinic in Menominee.

My clinic sells both Ideal Protein products plus another line of products which are also sold as Protiwise on . They are also sold as ITG, https://www. itgdiet. com/plan/products/diet-products which has a local clinic. My clinic brands the products with their own name, in their case iLifestyle, but the product as the same as ITG or Protiwise. My clinic said they did it to remain competitive with the local ITG clinic as the ITG products are cheaper. For the most part, I remain loyal to the IP products but prefer the other ready to drink products which Ideal Protein originally carried (in the rectangular containers). I also like the high protein brown bread (reminds me of seeded brown bread from Germany). So the ProtiWise ITG products are similar to Ideal Protein but less expensive. I like meeting with my coach once a week, for me that accountability plus support is important.
