Has anyone purchased generic supplements and vitamins. Cheaper option. But do they do the job?

I asked my coach the same question. The supplements are pharmaceutical grade and designed to specifically go with the IP Protocol.

The supplements are a very important part of the protocol! They are designed to work with the protocol and getting a ‘cheaper’ supplement can hinder weight loss. Don’t settle for less you are worth it!

The problem is for making these supplements they are using a base of sugar to combine the ingredients. That hidden sugar may affect your keto phase. It is better to check the ingredients and ask pharmacist first.

@shir3 please show that sugar is being used as a base

Each brand of vitamin is just a bit different which is why they can be a different name. As long as you look and get something close you are fine. There has never been a study showing theirs is superior or not using them affects weight loss. If they were or did, IP or an associated company would be trying to sell to every one on a diet. They are toooo expensive.

@pennypennyaliner, you are wrong. Yes, there are HUGE differences in vitamins and quality of vitamins. It has been proven that there are "vitamins" and "supplements" on the market without any true amount of what you are looking to get. This is not about saving money. This is about health and proper micronutrients so there are no deficiencies.

IPs supplements are pharmaceutical grade so you can be assured they are what they say and specifically designed for this protocol. Supplements in the US are not regulated and you have no idea what’s in them despite the labeling. It is a huge industry with a lot of misrepresentation. It’s your health which is priceless.

Go to a good vitamin shoppe and ask for help. Take the bottles from IP. Compare. This is what I did and it has not made a bit of difference on weight loss. The IP brand is not superior to any other brand out there. There are no hidden sugars in the others. You will want to steer clear of chewables because they usually do have sugar.

Watch out for fillers! Especially if you have allergies. That is not the place I look for bargains.

Nearly all generic supplements are vastly inferior to Ideal Protein’s equivalent.

They do the same. I buy my vitamins at Costco or Walmart
