Probably gonna have to get one of Ring’s chimes

I had that happen before. The transformer probably went out. Also check to see if the spring in the chime box didn't go bad.

@moreland if the transformer went out the doorbell would as well. The doorbell 3 draws more power and you should replace transformer with 16V 30VA or a 24V 40VA.

He said it chimes outside, so I figured it was using the battery. Or he could check device health & see if it says hardwired or battery.

Try switching the two wires around on your Ring 3. Usually it doesn’t matter which way they are connected but sometimes it revolves the issue.

If electronic chime you need to install the diode

@otes342 I remember a diode that bridges both wires on the original push button. I didn’t put it on the Ring 3 because I didn’t know what it would do. Should I bridge it similar to the original push button?

You could install on the ring base or by the chime if it does not work when installed reverse the diode and try again.
