Happy Sunday morning everyone.  I hope you can provide some guidance.Happy Sunday morning everyone. I hope you can provide some guidance. I started WW in February, since them I’ve lost 25 of the 27 lbs I hoped to lose. My original thought was to lose 42 lbs, but I quickly realized that may not be a realistic weight. I would like to adjust my target weight by 5 lbs at a time until I’m happy with where I am and feel it’s an attainable and manageable goal. Is that how you settle on your final target weight? I would appreciate your suggestions and advice.

Good loss! Way to go. Select the weight you last felt good at and go for it even if it takes time. I've seen people take 2 years to get there. baby steps.

I would choose the highest weight allowed for your height. That way it might be easier to maintain. You can always weigh less without a penalty but can only weigh 2 pounds over goal before you are considered over weight thus paying for meetings. Just a suggestion.

@paduasoy so if I went 15 below my goal weight I would keep my lifetime status once obtained?

@earlearla not sure about 15 but think 10 would be fine . Your goal weight should be what generally would be recommended for a healthy BMI. Google recommended weight for your height. Would give you a range to most likely allow for different body types. I would choose top end personally for your height . This would give you a good idea as to what a healthy range would be and possibly one that would be sustainable. You could check with your family doctor as well. See what would be recommended.

Actually doesn't matter how much under. Have a lady at my meeting that is 25 lbs under goal.

@morman that’s great if it works for her. I think setting too low a goal weight sometimes may be wishful thinking but not sustainable . Think the high end is a safer bet if it fits within the healthy weight range.

@thacker Hi Rhonda, I’m on blue. What I’ve discovered is I need vegetables, and lots of them. I have weeks where I have felt like giving up, especially with the extra stress at work (I work in primary care), but i keep reminding myself of why I’m doing this and how much better I feel. The most frustrating part is I am only now starting to fin clothing sizes. I had side boob, back fat, and the muffin top (thank you hormones and sedentary job), but those are now gone. When i get frustrated i out on a piece of clothing that i didn’t feel good in before - now I feel fabulous in it (hello dreaded bathing suits).

@earlearla, thank you. I'm doing my all at 52 and working remotely on my tush all day. I have been running and walking 1 hr daily. I think my biggest issue, is I allow myself to eat what I want after I weigh in, track it all, but then spend the rest of week taking it off and more. I'm down 17 lbs at 5'4. And goal is 30 more lbs which will have me in the 120s. Mid life Hormones and no thyroid doesn't help. But I'm trying. Thanks for inspiring me.

@thacker keep going, I know how hard it is to work from home. The temptation to dig into my family’s treats is huge. But the reality is, I enable them so I have to exercise self control. I do sometimes miss the greasy food that we occasionally had but the one time i did indulge, I felt horrible, not guilty, but my gut hurt and I was exhausted. Message me if you want to chat, connect. We are also in this together

Look up SMART BMI for very realistic weight goal. Then work with it and your WW coach.

@tadich thanks. According to that I’m already underweight at my original goal weight.

@earlearla so setting a lower weight you can maintain is the key Not the number because you are now likely in healthy range. Congratulations

I set 10% goals and refuse to look at my final destination. Needless to say I lost 100 lbs and never wanted to give up.

WW decides what your goalnweight should be. If you disagree then 5 pounds before what you think you want your goal weight to be you hand them a note from your doctor saying that he is okay with your chosen goal weight.

@salespeople I have had absolutely no support from WW. I am in Canada and that may be why, also I only do the digital.

@earlearla do you belong online? WW should tell you it. Anyway, you can look up what your BMI range is for your height and choose a weight within that range.

@salespeople thank you for asking, I do belong online. I haven’t heard from anyone, is there something I need to do?
