Congrats on quitting! My best advice to break the cycle of falling off the wagon is to not make two food choices in a row that you consider off the wagon. And track everything even if it’s not the prettiest. Facing it head on helps. Finding WW friendly versions of foods you love is also very helpful.

Tracking on the app is pretty easy, i try to pre plan my meal and track them before I eat so I am accountable. Even when I have bad days I track everything to the point of almost finishing my weeklies.

Congratulations on quitting smoking! Big step in health care. Now to focus on your journey to a better, healthier way to live. It’s important to have easy grab foods. Hard boiled eggs, string cheese, apples, strawberries, bananas, skinny pop popcorn (in portioned bags as this is only thing that works for me) Regarding snacks my coaches voice is always in my head at the store. If you don’t buy it you only have to say no once. Think about that. My dinner consists of chicken or fish and an occasional filet. All in healthy portions. Chicken may be zero pointed but I still do 4 Oz max. Fill up on veggies. I rarely add butter. I like lemon on a lot of my veggies. And ginger . Yum Plan your meals and TRACK TRACK TRACK. Everything. I’ve had my negative days. Far from perfect. M&M peanut butter huge weakness. Once in a while, there I am buying it knowing full well I eat way more than a portion. Drink water. Or hot tea. Right now during quarantine I have a sign in my fridge. ‘Are you hungry or bored. Shut the door’. Get your head in this, track everything & remember you are worth this . A happier, healthier way to live. -62 lbs and maintained for 3 1/2 years. WW is the best decision I ever made.

Go back to the beginning. read your materials and act like this is your first time doing WE. Track and measure. Maybe that will help! Congratulations on quitting smoking. I quit 20 years ago and gained 20 lbs. you’ve got this!

Find a healthy replacement behavior for the smoking, so the eating doesn’t replace it. Or if it’s been awhile since you quit, find something healthy to replace the over eating. I quit smoking several times before actually quitting for good. Sometimes I gained and sometimes I lost weight when quitting smoking. What I noticed is that I needed a replacement behavior for the smoking. The last and final time I quit I started a walk/jog program (couch to 5k) and a few years later I was running half marathons. That time I lost weight. The jogging replaced the smoking and over eating. Just an idea!

FYI- replacement behaviors can be anything incompatable with smoking/eating. ideas such as mindfulness, hobbies to keep hands busy (painting, stitching), walking/exercising, drinking tea/infused water, etc.
