If they cared they would have paid for concrete boards. Tell them to sort it.

Why should the neighbours have to sort it? The lady has dug a border up to their fence, if the soil rots the wood she would have to repair it.

They fitted a fence where there is a garden, everyone has soil against a fence in a garden.

DPC from builders suppliers. You can bye it in different widths , and just tack it on to the fence. Hope this helps.

Before you started you garden you could have used black sheathing that they use for foundation or roof
