I had surgery before I went back on protocol. I didn’t think there would have been enough caloric intake to help heal. But I would definitely talk to the doctor and if they are concerned, phase off, with your coach and when you all feel it’s time to get back yo protocol then do it. Just my opinion though.

You will want to check with your coach. I had surgery on Friday and was put on the alternative plan for the extra carbs to help with recovery.

Always ask the doctor! Tell them you are on a low calorie, ketogenic diet.

Best way to heal any wound or surgical incision is by eating protein. Protein helps heal.

I was under the understanding that you should phase off for surgery. Def talk to a coach.

Check with your surgeon. Many want you OUT of ketosis before surgery and will let you know when it is safe to return to this plan. ONLY YOUR DR knows what is right for you. There is no one on FB who can provide you with the correct answer for your situation!
