I am getting ready to start Phase 1 of Ideal Protein. I begin on Monday February 17th. What are some of the best tasting items that you can get in the products? Also has anyone tasted the syrup and the dressings that they offer? Are they good or are the Walden Farms sufficient enough? Just need some help with recipes and prepping so that I can have a successful kick-off. Where do you all find a lot of your recipes?

Geneva’s cookbook is great. You can order it or some IP places have it available for purchase. I only like some of the Walden Farms dressings. I prefer the drinks, premade. The dill zippers are also a favorite. Good luck!

@selves they’re a “snack item” from IP that have a dill flavoring on them. Each person has their own likes and dislikes. I personally don’t like the soups - and tend to stick to the drinks a lot.

The syrups are really good but they are the only WF products I can tolerate

@selves I like IP and WF honey dijon dressings and IP Classic Balsamic.

@selves don't try WF peanut butter. Only good for the trash can. IMHO Syrups are fine.

They are the programs dressings. I just don't like the taste of any of them. 1000 islands is the best one and it's not great.

I like the oriental sesame sauce made by ip. I like it on cucumbers especially. It’s good in a stir fry too. When I was just starting caulirice stir frys were my go to lunch meal. I like caulirice with a chili lime seasoning and scoop it with nacho dorados. Zoodles with Greek seasoning and cherry tomatoes is a nice cold salad. My favorite ideal protein products are the premade chocolate and vanilla shake. I mix with cold brew coffee and sometimes add Jordan’s skinny syrup for some flavor change up (coconut, chocolate caramel fudge sundae are my fav) I like the coconut and cookie dough bars, I have been a fan of all the chips, raspberry jello, strawberry banana drink when I need fruity flavors. I use the potato purée to make a pizza crust in jeneva’s files. I’m not a huge fan of the soups and meals as is but as breads etc I find them better. I recommend and air fryer. It is a huge time saver! Sorry so long but I know how much help I got in the beginning! -108 pounds and counting. Good luck

Good for you! IP works! Follow the sheet! The key recipes for me have been the spinach chocolate drink mix shakes, oatmeal muffins, crack slaw, and egg roll in a bowl.

I put the premade drinks in my coffee for mu creamer. I love the chocolate soy puffs, chocolate chip pancake, Southwest cheese curls, lemon wafer bar, chocolate mint bar, the chili if I “doctor it up”, the jello and I use Janeava’s cookbooks as well.

Wildberry yogurt drink with spinach and ice in the blender, Broccoli cheese soup with lots of broccoli added, rice crispy squares, chocolate soy puffs, bars kept in the refrigerator ( they are better real cold). Jenevas cookbook, we just had the best ever pork loin roast and it was great.

@zeiler83529's recipe book is a life saver: Big Mac Attack Salad, Blueberry Pancakes, Zucchini lasagna (more complicated), potato biscuits & Gingerbread are my favs so far. IP oatmeal, plain pancake mix, chicken patty, brownies, triple chocolate wafer, and Salt & Vinegar crisps are my current favs. While I enjoy the taste of the coconut, cookie dough & mint bars, I find the brownies have more fiber and keep me full longer. IP Italian & Balsamic dressings, & Maple syrup. WF Thousand Islands dressing, Blueberry & Caramel syrup (for recipes) are favs so far. Hope that helps!
