Spinach for sure I freeze 60g of fresh spinach in Ziploc bags I crunch it up throw it in my shake you don’t even know it’s there

@boaten it counts towards 4 cups, unlimited just means you can have more if needed.

@bueno in order to be counted as 4 cups, it needs to be cooked I was told. Same goes for mushrooms and radishes.

No it does not have to be cooked to count towards the 4 cups

@boaten On a different post, someone suggested sauteing spinach. 2 cups becomes two forkful. Just eat that.

@whopping I’ve had three different coaches and none of them ever said that veggies had to be cooked to count. The unlimited ones Do have to be raw to be unlimited tho.

@feller it’s what I had been told as well

Whereas unlimited vegetables have to be raw to be unlimited, select vegetables do not have to be cooked, not even those in both categories: mushrooms, spinach and radishes. I usually eat a pound of spinach a week, quite often 2 cups in either the peach mango drink or the Pina colada drink for lunch. Sometimes I’ll end up eating 3 cups of select veggies at dinner (usually in a stir fry). In that case 1 cup of spinach at lunch I count as unlimited.

Frozen cauliflower florets. I haven’t tried it but heard it’s good? The riced makes it too watery and raw makes it too strong of flavor?
by (1.2k points)
@boaten oh no!

@boaten I’ve only done spinach and use the fruitier drinks. They seem stronger and mask the flavor more than the chocolate

@boaten of course it does!

@goodrich I had a lot of questions about what veggies count toward what and it’s confusing. Ask your coach.

My favorite is making a smoothie with the mango drink and adding spinach!

This is a fav - riced cauliflower with Stevia & cinnamon. If you have your 1oz of milk, that’s super yummy added in too. Reminds me of cereal or riced pudding. Easy way to get veggies in.

Did you cook it or warm it at all?
by (5k points)
@columbus165 Yes! I buy this kind. Microwave for 6 minutes before adding the stevia and cinnamon.

Not tastelessly bleneded but I love red and yellow bell peppers! I eat the raw - sliced up. I've found that the more time I've spent on IP the more I like the taste of veggies - esp. these peppers. They are sweet and so lovely.

@boaten not supposed to caramelize them.
by (620 points)
@boaten I was told no carmelizing. caramelizing by definition is turning to Carmel. or sugar. which is exactly what we dont want.

Cauliflower rice is the easiest. No cooking needed & it’s good to start the day full.
