Is the fasting basically just eating all your meals within a small window of time and having nothing outside that time frame ? Does this work ?

That's all it is. Some folks swear by it. IP does not recommend it.

IF is an effective way of lowering your insulin levels. IP is an effective way of lowering your insulin levels. Pick one, but don’t combine the two. When in a ketogenic metabolic state, like you are on IP’s protocol, you will lose muscle mass during your fasting periods.

I do Time Restricted Eating which is a form of intermittent fasting. I eat all food between noon and 6. I get the same amount of calories and protein as I would if I stretched it out through the day. There is no research that shows you lose muscle mass eating this way, but there is research to show it burns fat faster.

I was told not to combine ideal protein with intermittent fasting my coach is very strict with this talk to your coach don’t go by what folks do on this site doesn’t mean what they say is the right way
