Well.  Been back on track for 4 days as I gained 30lbs back of the 60 I lost.Well. Been back on track for 4 days as I gained 30lbs back of the 60 I lost. Im feeling great, no longer bloated, mental thoughts are back on track, down 6lbs (water I know), I’ve been running the whole time even while I was gaining and don’t want to stop as I feel great after those exercise days. it was my eating that definitely caused my gain. I want exercise to be part of my normal routine. I don’t care if the weight loss isn’t as fast. I’m more wanting a lifestyle I can follow long term. So even if I only lose a small amount every week. I know the program isn’t supposed to have exercise but I’m hoping some of you have figured out how to do both. any suggestions on how to maintain both eating and exercise?

I’m doing both and feeling defeated some days and not others. I know that I could be losing much faster but I don’t care. Lifestyle is a long haul and will make us more successful in my opinion. I’m averaging about 4 lbs a month lately. You have always inspired me Kim. Miss you my friend. Who knows, when this distancing is all over maybe I will run with you

That’s funny because I have also been back on track for 4 days. I just feel better. We got this!

@provincialism707 last Wednesday was such a low day that I kicked myself in the ass and on Thursday started making better choices!

@artemas we sometimes all need to kick our own asses!

I would add a packet on your run days and see what happens. Keep diligent food logs. You likely need more calories. Also add sodium and some BCAAs.

Our stories are the same. The first time I was in IP I ran a 5K every other day and still lost only 2 pounds per week. This time I have a back injury and can only walk and I am losing the weight at the rate. When I was running I would just add two eggs after my work out or one Protein packet. Good luck

I worked out all my life and did not stop for IP. I did limit my workouts to 300 calorie burns regardless of type of workout. And, I worked out 4-6 days a week. I averaged two pound weight loss a week. Weight loss will be slower but two pounds a week is pretty damn good!

I’ve exercised the whole time. At first I did mostly low impact. I ate extra packets at first also. Had slow weight loss but it was ok. I too needed a lifestyle change. It has worked for me. Exercise also helps with mental status and physical.

There should be nothing wrong with exercising/walking on this program. We all need to be heart healthy, and eat the IP. Let’s just do what makes us happy and feel good. ‍♀️‍♀️ We are in It. ‍♀️
