So, I brought a can of asparagus today to go with my lunch. how should I prepare it? I love fresh asparagus, but have never tried it canned since I was a kid.

I grew up eating canned asparagus and love it. I eat it right out of the can. It doesn't compare at all to fresh, fresh is delish -- I drizzle with my daily oil, sprinkle with kosher salt and roast in a 425 oven for about 10 minutes.

Canned tastes nothing like fresh.

Canned is so mushy. Maybe take advantage of that and smash it up like ripe avocado, add your salt and some lemon juice, and make "asparamole"!

Mocamole! I made it the other day for the first time (mind you it was fresh but I have a can that I plan on trying it with next. Think I'll soak it cold water to rinse it out. )
