I thought IP was going away form sucralose to stevia- part of the new marketing/look, but it seems like nothing’s changed except for how it looks?

@ivories Exactly! That’s why I avoid the products with sucralose. Just 1 tsp disrupts your microbiome and 70% of your immune system is in your gut. I looked at the FAQ by the IP medical team regarding the use of sucralose and the answer was just so weak. They said this is meant to just be temporary for dieters but we know people who reboot and people that use the products in maintenance so it’s not temporary and he didn’t specifically address the studies that show the harmful effects on gut bacteria with just a small amount. Even for alternatives like Quest use sucralose. I think there’s way too much emphasis on weight loss and not enough on health.

Stevia and splenda are sucralose

@martlet Splenda is sucralose but Stevia is a natural sweetener derived from the Stevia plant. Splenda is basically man made and Stevia is naturally derived.

It does have a bit of a bitter taste because you are also getting the green leaf with the sweet, but you can.
