Anyone else in New Orleans doing IP strict for Mardi Gras? It’s so weird sober and King Cake free, right?

Yes! And I am a teacher and my students keep bringing King cakes to share with the class. I keep telling them to stop!

I’m at the other side of the state but can say that the king cakes never looked so good! Not worth it!

Hi all, I live in Arabi. My birthday is in February so we always have had king cake for my birthday, I do miss it. I am a sweets person. Has anyone tried the king cake recipe in Janeva's book? I was looking at it, lol.
