I'm considering joining a new gym in my community as I've lost weight and I'm getting my energy back, something that really kept me from hitting the gym after work, especially after an hour commute. So my question is, I'm usually starving on the way home (between 2:30 -4 pm) so would like to pack something to take care of my hunger plus give me an energy boost to tackle a workout. Any off the shelf protein drinks (or other) anyone could recommend? Thanks!

Eat a restricted bar, or an extra packet before your workout, and drink LOTS of water. Get the IP electrolytes if you can. I found I felt sick if I didn’t eat a restricted bar or extra packet before the workout. This is a reduced calorie diet. It recommends very minimal exercise!

I have the bcca at least an hour before my workout and a hard boiled egg after to hold me over til my meal. The bcca is suppose to give you a burst of energy and it seems to work for me. On my days the I don’t go to the gym I will have my bcca between breakfast and lunch.
