I’ve always struggled with “bored eating”, and working from home is not helping me. I can’t take a walk or get away from the food while it’s during work hours. All I want to do while I’m home is eat everything. I’ve been allowing myself 4 or more packets a day just to keep me from eating off protocol, but I can’t afford that and it’s eventually going to stall my weight loss. Any suggestions on how to overcome this?

You are working from home. So. Go to work. Eat an appropriate breakfast. Get dressed. Drive around the block. Or walk to the mailbox. Something outside. If there is a coffee shop open, get a coffee. Come back inside. Go to your work desk. Keep to your work schedule of breaks and lunch. After work, go back outside. Drive around the block. Or walk to the mailbox. Come back inside. You are now home from work. Change from your work clothes to your home clothes. Have dinner as appropriate.

Find things to do so you’re not bored. I’m doing projects around my house , learning to crochet, taking my dogs for a walk , take a bath, meditate, pray , read a book, and brushing your teeth helps because food taste crappy with toothpaste.

Same! Started walking. Also picked up more fresh food produce (order ahead and pop the trunk). Cleaning, more productive with at home work. It’s helped!

Snack on cucumbers, pickles, radishes. Drink hot tea, cinnamon and bengal spice are 2 of my favorites! Remind yourself why you are doing this and stay focused! It’s worth it and you are worth it!

Try a spinach and celery smoothie with a tangerine water enhancer. It’s delicious and the spinach and celery are freebies. And it’s filling.

@fivefold I love the tangerine enhancer. Do you just throw that in the blender with spinach and celery for the smoothie? Please lmk. Thx!

@cub2196 yes. I cut up the celery and freeze it and add it to a little water and the spinach then purée it. I use about 2 cups of water 1 cup spinach, 1/2 cup celery and one packet of enhancer. This was from my coach.

I often get my food ready the day before. Portions etc. Then that's all I eat for the day. When I've eaten it all tough! Lol. It helps me.

I always prep all my salad fixings in separate containers for the week and I have cut up veggies at the ready. I also cut my protein bars in half and keep them in the freezer (the choc/mint, cookie dough/choc coconut). That way I am only having half and it soothes my snacky and sweet tooth. I lost 135 pounds on plan 2 years ago and I still use these rules of thought and still purchase IP packets to keep on hand. Trust me, you can do this!
