I had the Chocolate Caramel Mug Cake for breakfast at work today. I mixed it with water and a slight bit of the half and half from rinsing the half and half out of the 1-ounce container I use. To help clean the cup when I was done, I just poured the hot coffee into the empty cake mug and got a little bit of the mug cake flavor in my coffee. Has anyone tried to just mix their mug cake using their entire 1-ounce of half and half and some water? How about trying 1 and 1/2 ounces of coffee instead of water to make the mug cake?

I have not tried either. But yum. I put the Walden’s farms syrup on my mug cake and it’s delicious!

Nice! How about using a Walden Farms Coffee Creamer as part of the mix. Say an ounce of Sweet Cream flavor and a half ounce of water? Sound good?

I didn’t know half and half was protocol. I thought we could only have whole milk. I’m going to try some mug cake in my coffee this morning though.  Thanks for the idea!

IP revised the protocol this year. One of the changes was that you may have 1-ounce of half and half or 1-ounce of milk with your coffee. Other changes included revisions to which veggies fell into which categories, Phase 1 dinner protein is 4-6 ounces and not 8, and they incorporated many more types of oils for your 2 teaspoons.

@extrasensory oh ok. Thank you! Got it. I’m still following the original protocol.

There are also only three phases now. Big changes to the transition after Phase 1.

@extrasensory yes! I’d rather stick to what works for me.

I replace about half ounce of water with a skinny syrup in most puddings and mug cake, gives extra kick!

I mix the mug cake with a dark chocolate pudding packet. 1/4 tsp baking powder and enough water for consistency. Microwave 1 minute. I have 1/2 for breakfast as my 1st IP and the other 1/2 as my 3rd IP for desert. It's like a brownie cake. Decadent!

I don't have the dark pudding packet, but I do have the premade pudding. Perhaps i will try it.
