So I tried the chocolate caramel mug cake yesterday, and to my surprise it was really bad LOL. I put 1. 5 oz of water as directed but I feel like that just wasn’t enough? I added a little more, microwaved, and it just didn’t seem to cook properly. Can anyone tell me how they make their mug cakes? Do you add more water than it says? What kind of consistency does it have before you microwave it? Also super awesome side note, finally down 20. 4 pounds! Went from 185. 8 to 165. 4. Granted I started Feb 3 and did take two breaks in the middle (each break around 2 weeks and I maintained my weight). No regrets though! I’m moving forward. It’s also funny how my body is a weight loss machine on this diet, but when I take a break, my weight loss stalls SO HARD. This is all the more reason for you to not take a break! Power through while your body is on a roll! That’s what I’m gonna do through Ramadan. Hopefully I get shed 10 pounds this month. Happy Ramadan btw!

I have always mixed mine and put it in the fridge to eat like raw cookie dough ( Don’t judge) it feels like such a cheat to me, and I absolutely love it.

I love the mug cake! I use the 45ml recommended but I use 35 ml of water and 10 ml of caramel skinny syrup for added flavour. The ‘batter’ very thick and sticky. I do find I usually microwave it for longer than the recommended time. I put it in for 30 seconds and then I do about 10 second intervals until it seems cooked when I lightly poke it with my fork. I don’t want any wetness on the tops and it kind of starts pulling away from the sides of the mug I make it in. Also congrats on your loss!

I just add water until it looks like batter. I don’t love it but I put on the sugar free chocolate syrup to help the taste

I also like it as a pancake. I think I tried as a waffle before but can't remember water ratio or if it was the same

I use it in recipes from the cookbook but when I have made the actual mug cake I made as directed. DO NOT overcook. It will look like it needs more time but don't. I have also added a some cacao powder which I am sure is not allowed.

@irmairme I did that more for my mental health! Not saying anyone should cheat or take a break. Just stating my journey.

I use a the mug cake packet in a brownie recipe from Janeva's cookbook. It is SO delicious. The recipe makes 2 muffins; bakes for 12 minutes. When it first comes out of the oven, the center is gooey which is what I like about it. It reminds me of a lava cake.

I use it to make three chocolate chip cookies. Add 1/2 tsp baking powder, tsp stevia, cinnamon then add 1 egg white, tsp of grape seed oil and some Carmel or chic sauce then bake at 350 for 5 or so minutes. Delicious

Mine is w the choc chip pancake plus I add 1/3 c raw shredded zucchini. I add 1 TB egg white and 2 oz water. In the packet of pancake mix I add 1 tsp baking powder and I heaping tsp of apple pie spice and blend those dry ingredients together in the packet then stir into wet ingredients. Thanks everyone for their help! I’ll try the cookie recipes as some point. I did 1. 5 oz water and 40 seconds. Added Walden farms chocolate syrup on top. It was SOOOO GOOOOOD! I definitely added too much water last time!
