I am in phase 1 and would be going on a cruise on the carnival dream for spring break. I have a couple of questions regarding how do I stay on the protocol., we would having dinner at the main dining room, lunch some days at lido butter, some days at the sea day brunch 1. Could I let the staff know ahead of time that I only want 5 oz of chicken . and how do I ask them to cook it ? Any suggestions? I generally make an Indian version of chili at home and eat it. 2. For the oil , could I inform the staff in advance to make the meat with only 2 tsp of oil not more or less? Or how do you handle the oil requirements? 3. Any ideas if there is raw spinach, raw arugula and raw chopped mushrooms on the lido deck for the lunch buffet ? 4. How does everyone manage for the 2 cups of veggies for lunch ? And 2 cups for dinner? . I am not used to eating veggies . Iam literally forcing the raw mushrooms, and spinach . I can deal with steamed it cooked . not can’t do raw. 5. Since there is a great deal of walking and physical exercise. how did you handle it and not lose muscle mass? Just increase protein if so how much ? Or have an extra packet . I don’t want the extra walking to stall my weight loss  I apologize for the lengthy post . Any ideas suggestions would be highly appreciated.

I believe you can fill out forms ahead of time with dietary restrictions. If you are scheduled to eat at the same table every night with same wait staff that makes it even easier. They will do what ever you ask of them. They are usually really accommodating

@arezzo10 I agree. Your waiter should take care of you.

The buffet usually has an excellent salad bar with lots of raw veggies

Add extra packet of BCAA after exercise. Bring product snacks or treats for your three a day or oatmeal packet for am. Instructions to chef good idea. If no Apple cider vinegar dressing, my coach said choose ranch.

Just order your protein grilled. No butter. Veggies grilled or steamed. Ask for olive oil and vinegar for any thing needing dressing. Lemon wedges to flavor veggies and fish. Bring your salt. I put 2 cups of baby spinach in a chocolate protein shake with ice and blend in my bullet. Can't even taste the spinach. They may have protien shake options that you can customize? Bring your bars for breakfast. Protein drink for lunch and a sweet snack for evening when they roll out the desserts. They do have awesome salad bars but if you dont like raw veggies you have to improvise. For home. soups are a good way to get veggies in. I use cauliflower and brocolli rice in a IP soup mixed in with veggie broth.
