I feel like this is the only thing I can control these days, stay focused everyone! We will be so happy when things get back to normal and we’ll need to go shopping for smaller clothes

I'll start. I seem to be doing alright. it keeps my mind off of other things. I have something other than the pandemic to focus on. Hard to keep fresh veggies in the fridge though when you are self isolating. Gotta stay out of those stores. Stay healthy everyone!

I’ve decided to stop and just be very conscious about what I’m eating. I will continue when things settle down a bit. It’s just not a good idea to go shopping every few days for fresh produce and financially, buying the food is not a necessity at this moment.

@formless If you must go off the diet, are you going to do low carb or Keto? I recommend it, because carbs get our hunger going with blood sugar fluctuations. And the insulin produced by eating carbs will slow our metabolism. I hate for you to have worked so hard and spent the Money only to gain it back. Remember, we who struggle with our weight Cannot trust a carb filled appetite!

@belamy thank you for your information, yes I will be going back to my eating plan I had a few years ago which is a more heart healthy keto.

Yes I am sticking to it but find myself thinking about food a great deal. I’m just so afraid if I would indulge I’d never get back on the wagon. I’ve come to far to mess up now. 72 pounds in 5 months!

B. j. McElroy I’ve been resorting to an extra packet every day. Is that bad?
by (4.3k points)
If that’s the worst you do I think you are fine!

I’m finding it hard to get in my water. I’m a nurse and wearing a mask for my 8 hour shifts . I don’t want to keep taking it on and off. It has affected me energy wise for sure. I may put buying food on hold for now .

@belamy i will do keto. I always live a keto or low carb life. I haven’t had simple sugars in 4 years. I had a hysterectomy last summer and while recuperating started eating bread and pasta again. Didn’t take long to gain 25 lbs! I’m still in ketosis and may just bump up my fat a bit to stay satiated.

A couple of small slips but right back on track. It’s so hard sometimes having to cook for the family every night and 3 meals on weekends. By the time I’ve cooked for them, I don’t want to cook for myself.
by (19.2k points)
@pustulant Yes it's harder for sure! Have you thought of cooking one day a week for yourself & then eating that most days all week?

Only my 2nd day. I’m in for the long haul
by (19.2k points)
@azure You are going to be so pleased about this diet! I've been on many diets even low carb, and none works as well as Ideal Protein!
by (980 points)
@belamy I've done IP before. I got tired of it and just outright quit 5 years ago. Gained most of it back. It's the only program that worked for me. Just had a mental block where I couldn't trust the process with any other plan. I can't wait to shop in my own closet and many bags!

I seem to be finding all of my keto snacks I had tucked away! They're mostly gone now so hopefully I'll have an easier time staying on plan. :)

I’m finding that I’m a lot hungrier. So I have been having an extra restricted packet. I’ve been craving bad food that my houses has because that’s what the rest of the family wants to eat right now. Comfort Food. So that’s challenging. But, having an extra packet or bar I think is a good trade off instead of eating a bowl of macaroni and cheese.
by (19.2k points)
@deerhound3 Very Good!
by (4.3k points)
@deerhound3 Me too! Oddly hungrier and for non-plan items. When I wasn’t working from home and had plans afterwork, the hunger was nowhere near like it is now. But Im charging through and trying to stay busy.
by (12.9k points)
@deerhound3 having two restricted packets can be kicking you out of ketosis which can be making you hungrier. there is nothing wrong with having a fourth packet - just make sure it’s non restricted
by (1.1k points)
@dakar hmmm. Interesting! Are the chips non-restricted? Specifically the salt and vinegar crisps
by (12.9k points)
@deerhound3 salt and vinegar crisps are non restricted! Dorados are also non restricted. A general rule of thumb is all the “bars” are restricted. so is the chili. The restricted food usually has an “R” on the package (Wafers and vanilla crispy treats and choc crispy treats are not bars / they are also non restricted. )
by (910 points)
@dakar I didn’t know that wafers, vanilla/choc crispy treats were non restricted. Pass 2 days I’ve been eating 2 treats. I’m craving I eat wafer after lunch and bar after supper.

Staying on protocol, so my appetite is down. Therefore, thankfully doing well! The few times I have gone off protocol has only been with low carb foods like nuts, peanut butter , cheese. Slows my progress, but does not derail me!

Staying true to protocol has been extremely difficult nowadays for me, I’m a nurse and my 12 hour night shifts 7pm-7am have become 16 hour night shifts 7pm-11am. I flat out don’t have time to eat between patients and their constant care, and in all honesty I prefer not to eat at during my shifts at the hospital but rather when I get home. Now this is where it becomes an issue because after my shift I’m too exhausted to eat after I shower and get ready for bed, all I wanna do is SLEEP, because I have to wake up soon and REPEAT. So basically I get in where and when I can, missing some meals/veggies, but I don’t consume foods that are not protocol.

@cravens hang in there!

@seducer77396 thank you for encouragement ♥️

I'm definitely sticking to Protocol - I'm thankful I am on this plan, otherwise I would have gained a lot of weight already!

I made a bunch of things ahead of time and out in freezer. We have fresh veggies for two more weeks so will then pull out frozen or premade dinners. I'm doing great, focused and feeling good.

I fell off the wagon hard last week. I know the only thing I have control over right now is what I put in my mouth. just not feeling it. *sigh* Tomorrow is a new day.

by (520 points)
I do too :(
by (5k points)
@boaten Having a 4th packet is totally okay. Please don’t beat yourself up. Be proud of yourself for staying on plan and not giving in to whatever temptation is in front of you. Good job!

It is tough. Routines with working helped me stay on task. That has been gone for 3 weeks. Mostly eating the sheet.
