STOP using the scale! Honestly is your goal to lose weight or be thinner? Instead of worrying about what the scale says take your measurements! If your scale says you lost 1 pound, but your measurements say you lost 1” - which is more satisfying? No one is going to say, hey @argolis30 you are so “light”. No one is going to ask you to step on a scale (unless you go zip lining); Everyone is going to notice your thinness. Relax. This is a journey. Being anxious is like being on a great vacation and just looking forward to the flight home. #Lovethejourney

Great advice and I love to share these words of wisdom. I'll take a smaller body and a healthy body fat percentage over an arbitrary weight number any day.

Susan, my real words of wisdom are: Love yourself the way you are. It’s fine to lose weight, it’s fine to educate yourself, it’s fine to grow your hair, it’s fine to do you - but don’t expect the journey of YOU to start and end at the beginning.

I know you said no movement on the scale but did you lose inches ? Try on some clothes that were tight that motivates me. Just a thought

Agreed. Even when I wasn't losing much each week I was still shrinking out of my pants, and my tee shirts were starting to look I was wearing one of my Dad's when I was a kid. So that was my best motivation. each time I went and bought a smaller waist size.

Some people are very carb sensitive. I would try swapping out some of the richer carb / higher calorie IP items. Just soup and drink mixes. Also - try alternating in real food off the sheet instead of an IP packet. I’m carb sensitive so here is what a daily day can look like: Breakfast IP shake mixed in coffee. Lunch - 2 cups of veggies and instead of an IP packet, I have real protein of 2-3oz from the sheet (so chicken or tuna on a salad) Snack - IP drink packet (usually the non-dairy based ones that are very light - 70-80 cals) Dinner - as per sheet

I have been on and off this Ideal Protein for years but I love the structure. I always focused on weight loss and the expense of the food. This time I am focusing on how I feel and not on pounds lost. I have been back on protocol for 6 weeks and have lost 12 pounds. It’s been a crazy six weeks. In one day I gained 5 pounds? Scales are liars! The food isn’t as expensive as going out to eat and go by how you feel not by the weight you’re losing. Make food less important. It’s working for me so far.

Instead of focusing on the weight loss on the scale (which is inaccurate at the best of times) try to focus on the differences you see/feel in your body. I have given up weighing myself this go around and instead every morning I assess my body and find where the weight is coming off. It took me a while to learn how to tune in to what my body was telling me, but it is such an amazing skill. That is much more indicative of my progress and probably much better for my mental health.

It’s hard. 3 week I’m down $400 dollars and that’s it. I lost a pound but it’s back today

I see great advices regarding weight loss above . I just wanted to mention if $$$ is an issue during these difficult times, instead of quitting IP, please consider IP Alternative. Your coach is a valuable asset, no doubt and worth every penny. But for anyone out there who is discouraged by the price due to unemployment or reduced hours, please consider alternative at least until we get back to normal

Vegetable and protein choices can slow or speed up your progress. Talk with your coach and find the best combo for you.

Start using a food intake log track what you are doing. Every single thing that crosses your lips and enters into your mouth, including drinks, bites, licks, tastes, mints, gum, dressings, seasonings…Collect your Data to see where it isn’t working. Usually it’s operator error. If you’re not logging your food you cannot manage nor maintain it. You also need to understand this is about your body healing from the inside out cellularly. It is not about a number on the scale. The number on the scale will go down as a direct side effect of following a proven scientifically sound protocol. It’s like baking. You must follow the recipe to the T or else you will not have a good outcome. Don’t try to shift it, no substitutions, you must use all of the ingredients given to you. This assures a superior outcome.

I lost 13lbs my first 10 days, now nothing for 4 straight days. I’m not discouraged because I added walking to my daily routine and the inflammation from that could be hi seeing loss, but I am still feeling a difference.
