I started in September 2019 and I choose to stick to this one and didn’t even look at the new one. This is working for me I didn’t want to play around with what’s working for me. Do what’s best for you. Only you will know best.

There’s barely a difference. I think the only different is a couple vegetables were changed

Start with 8oz of protein and if you’re losing slowly or hit a stall, try reducing you protein to match the new US plan of 4-6oz. Same with the veggies that they started limits on.

I had a problem getting 8 oz. of protein, so for me 4 to 6 oz is what I’m doing. This is my third time on IP and my loss has been the same. They did change a few of the veggies, like cucumbers are no longer unlimited, bone broth is off, spaghetti squash is on the occasional veggie list, they added other allowed oils and a few other things were added.

I think lower animal protein may help some (not entirely) with constipation,

@stylistic Nice! Never been to North Dakota. Just curious what clinic specifically. did they give you anything on the new protocol?

@sophist7 the new sheets

@stylistic Gotcha. Okay, just curious. If they aren’t running the new protocol or making it “optional”, that’s a problem and should be reported to Corporate. The old protocol hadn’t been updated in about 10 years. With all the research our Medical Board has done in that time, I wouldn’t discount it and it’s more effective.

I went from 207 to 132 in 2015 in 5 months on the old one. I've gone from 177 to 155 in 8 weeks on the new one so far. The weightloss is slower this time, but a restart or lower starting weight could be a contributor. Starting Visceral last time was an 8; this time a 7 and I'm now down to a 5. I also think I may have been more physical last time (I have numerous chronic conditions). The big difference I see are the other phases after 1 that seem to be made so much easier to follow, sustain, and maintain. I'm following the new Phase 1 so those phases work the way they should.

The new one just incorporates a few different oils, you can have spaghetti squash now, cucumbers are limited and not free, 4-6 ounces of meat not 8 anymore.
