Has anyone just “gone off the deep end” Program wise? I just broke down after 3 weeks and 12lbs and had cookies and peanut butter! I feel terrible now but my emotional eating just got the best of me!

I know exactly what you mean but IP isn't cheap and you will see it takes awhile to get going again. Track the expenses so you will know next time. I wanted an apricot so bad . figured it would cost me 52$. We are all different but it takes me a week. to. get back. And sometimes I decide to devert from the diet. just be informed and decide for yourself. Try not to be upset as that makes losing weight harder. We will chat about cortisol another time. good luck.

@irmairme wow thats a great idea! I am a sugar addict and it a lot like when I quit drinking 10 years ago because I remind myself of the five days of living hell I will choose if I binge on sugar

Just go back to protocol. Loosing is not restarting.

Yep! If you didn’t have issues with food- you wouldn’t be on this program to lose weight. (Most likely) at least that’s why I’m on it. Sometimes a few extra carbs can jumpstart a plateau (if you’ve hit one) don’t feel too bad about it. Just try to keep from doing that often. This diet really works. (Even if you slip up). You’ll be ok!

Restrictive? I had a chalupa for lunch, chili with Dorados for dinner and just made coconut chocolate cupcakes for desert. And my 'snack' when I had a little hunger was roasted brussel sprouts. ALL within protocol. The game changer is the cookbook. I didn't want to pay the money for it because I'm paying so much in food but I couldn't be happier with this thing, tons and tons or recipes, so much variety and it has everything you need to keep you within protocol.

@babylonian Janeva's cookbook. There's a FB group she has, ideal protein, search for it and you can get the link from someone there.

I was told we are humans first, dieters a far second. You need to live, not just diet.

I have not done that on this plan but I have on all others. If I feel a craving like that I have an extra sweet protein. But just start over tomorrow! You can do this! It may slow you but it won’t stop you!

@face me too! Extra sweet protein curbs appetite , but doesnt cause as much consequences. Keep up the good work you were doing! You can do this!

3 weeks, 12 lbs here too and I put cheese on my eggs tonight. I am disappointed that I did it. But also proud that I have done as well as I have for almost 3 weeks. However it does seem longer than that. LOL

When you are learning something there’s bound to be bumps in the road. Just like falling off a bike, just brush yourself off and get back in again. Learn from this and be prepared so next time you are tempted, you’ll have a healthy solution.

I have wanted to. They don't tell you about how your emotions play into this diet. Stay strong
