New member here.  I’ve been browsing through some posts and you ladies are an awesome group!New member here. I’ve been browsing through some posts and you ladies are an awesome group! So I did IP in 2017 and went from 255 to 189 Sadly I somehow managed to “find” all my fat back and then some.  I don’t know why I just didn’t restart IP sooner. I tried EVERYTHING from HCG with phen to keto and every other plan you can think of. Y’all I even had consult for gastric sleeve and was literally going to go through endoscopic sleeve before this whole covid mess hit but elective surgeries were postponed so go considered it a sign. One night I way laying awake (that’s what phen does to me) and I thought what the heck and I doing?! The place I went to before had shut down so I searched IP online and sent an email to corporate. They literally emailed me back before morning and the Coach at the pharmacy that carries IP emailed before lunch! We met a day later and here I am! I’m 2 days in and so happy! I’ve done this before and I know I can do it again. I’m afraid since I’ve hit 40 it may me Harder but I’m all in and I WILL lose this fat and get my life back! Here’s to you all! We got this! I am in the same boat. I took a few days off but plan to be back  starting tomorrow. I got to 198 that last time I quit and I still would have had about 45lbs to lose at that point. At my heaviest before IP, I got to 278. I’m starting again at 265. I just turned 40 last month and want to be healthier in my 40’s than in my 30’s! We can do this

@backset300 I’m actually excited because I know this works. I even think there are better tools this time help me succeed. I just wish I was already 3 months in and had some pics to share! I will get there. We will get there

@opalopalesce83 absolutely! I signed up for a couple of DietBets to help keep me accountable. I also bought a new Apple Watch to help remind me to get up and move. Gimmicky I know, but it does help lol. I would be down if you wanted a weight loss buddy, we seem to be at the same starting point.

In regaining the weight, did you follow a Maintence protocol and fall off the protocol, or did you not have a Maintence protocol to follow at the time. I want to know because I would like to try and not to make the same mistake. Thanks!

@belamy I did not phase off properly, that was my biggest problem. This time, I am determined to see it to the end! This is my motivation picture from when I got to ONEderland the first time.

My coach starting to stray from IP and was bringing in private label items. They weren’t the same. Made me dizzy. I was so happy to be at 189 That I thought in my head I could maintain. I did for a very short time but then started to revert to old habits of sugar and drive thru. I let stress eating take control And before I knew it I had just given up completely and said the heck with it. I’m so uncomfortable and feel like I can’t even get up out of my chair without my stomach being in the way. I have only myself to blame. I won’t stop this time and since My coach is at a pharmacy now I think I’m good to go with access to only IP!

@opalopalesce83 yes! The uncomfortableness of getting up, bending down, rolling over- this is what gave me the final push to do the plan again.

Ok you just gave me a boost. Thank you for posting your story. I’m embarrassed to say how many times I’ve restarted after losing 72 pounds & gained some. back. My office told me they’d call 10 weeks ago & never did. I think they furloughed the IP coach. Good idea to call Corp. office. Good going! You’ve got this!

I needed this. My goal is to lose 20 pounds. When I successfully do that I’ll go for another 20. Doing smaller steps first than the bigger picture. I’m excited to be down 20 pounds First time EVER making my current weight public: 282 lbs Goal weight: 200 pounds

Youre too small to have WL surgery, that’s what my Dr. told me at 275. Those clinics are just surgery mills. I just started again. I went from a lean 170 to 212 with a lot of body fat so I feel your pain. You got this! The weight will come off. It might be harder, but not impossible.

Phentermine - it’s a weight loss drug
by (10.7k points)
If i were younger i'd try it. prescribed by a doctor?
by (1.7k points)
@chokedamp - yes or your PCP. I’m a nurse practitioner and prescribe it semi frequently
by (10.7k points)
@gump42814 can you become addicted?
by (1.7k points)
@chokedamp - no. But so tell my patients it’s a stimulant so it is not without side effects
by (480 points)
@chokedamp I didn’t but it does give you insomnia pretty bad! Totally curbs appetite but never fails I gain back weight if I stop it
by (10.7k points)
@opalopalesce83 MAKES SENSE. I ALREADY HAVE INSOMNIA. I JUST DON'T FEEL LIKE MAKING THINGS MOE COMplicated. thank you!

Thanks for sharing Alicia. I was also on this program in 2017, lost the weight then gained it back plus a few more. I couldn’t wait to get started again and then the Pandemic. Luckily my local clinic helped me get started. I am 67 and the weight is coming off. You will be fine.
by (10.7k points)
I'm the same age as you. losing it is simple. keeping it off is tough . goood luck

Your singing my song sister! I lost 85 pds on IP and didn’t phase off properly. Thought I’d control and maintain on my own and bad habits creep back in. I’m “sort of” doing the program now. I can’t seem to find my mojo like before. My 2nd week back and I’ve lost 3. 8pds total. Sugar is a b@tch! We can do this!
by (480 points)
@judaize484 yes! We totally can and will
by (10.7k points)
I also went thru this with hernreid. did pretty good for awhile . 2 lbs, turned into 4 and then 6 and boom.

I have tried weight watchers, keto and other diets but nothing has worked out for me. I have been struggling to lose weight ever since I had kids. IP has been the answer to my prayers. I m down 23 pounds and 12 more to go.
by (480 points)
@calc8 that’s great! Yeah I’m a professional dieter. You name it I’ve most likely tried it. Probably even did okay with it but couldn’t maintain

I am the same. I started in 2017. Went from 216 to 182lbs and this year have put it all back on and then some! I am miserable as now I’m the heaviest I have ever been in my life and I’m 44! I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism a year and a half ago. The coach here has quit so they don’t have anyone to consult or weigh in. You can order the food but it takes days for her to fill the order as she sees patients also. I started 6 days ago and have found YouTube and these groups to help for support. I want to get down to 175lbs. With all the current adversities i have right now I am going to push through. We can do this!

This is my second time around. The first was about 4-5 years ago. This is by far one of the hardest choices to make for me. I am a junk food junkie and love all carbs and pasta. The determination that we have in ourselves to get a job done is miraculous even though we fight to keep the weight off after we are done. I appreciate this group and all who are in it. Thank you

I did the same thing so don’t beat yourself up. I restarted at the beginning of October and I’m down 64 pounds and almost at my goal. I’ve tried to do it much differently this time and make it a lifestyle change which I failed to do before. I have Janeva’s cookbook and it has been a lifesaver for me. I’ve been exploring some things to help me be successful in maintenance and have started a list of those and I hope to start some sort of group or blog or something to help others when I get this together. Best of luck to you.

@opalopalesce83 girl this is all sounding so familiar! I can tell you I believe there was some sort of sign to not allow that surgery for you. Coming from a previous “sleever ” myself. I don’t recommend weightloss surgery for girls in our weight category. It worked don’t get me wrong but it has forever changed my life. (I won’t get into details;) I lost 65 pounds on IP when I was 23 years old then gained it all back and then some, got up to 257 then at age 25 had gastric sleeve surgery and slowly over the course of 5 years have gained it all back. I never had the mental strength I do now so the changes were never going to stick back then. And due to the permanent surgical changes and how it forever changed my metabolism it will be hard to lose weight and maintain for The rest of my life now. I’m coming to accept this and not beat myself up for what I chose to do because in reality it led me to where i am now which I am SO grateful for! But still props to you for doing IP, it works and it was the only thing that really worked for me in the past in regards to teaching you healthier options and developing a healthy lifestyle approach. But I too was young and got bored of phase 1 and just went off The rocker and back into my sugar addiction ways. Now 8 years later I understand health and my own strength it’s not about fitting into the cute little outfit anymore. It’s so much more! We all need to give ourselves a liTitle grace and forgiveness and acceptance for where we are now and stop focusing on our past. It’s hard especially when you see those old pictures! But know you are not alone and this time I know we will be successful because of all this support that I never had years ago. This page is fantastic for meal ideas, motivational stories, you name it! Good luck girl and take it day by day! I can’t wait to be a few months in too! ❤️

@unwitnessed8 thanks so much for the time you spent to reach out. I’ve got to fix my mental state to food as well! As CRAZY as it sounds I’m only 3 days in and I’m just happy! I haven’t felt happy for a while. When I met my new coach and walked out of the pharmacy with my bag full of IP it’s like a burden was lifted
by (2.8k points)
I totally know what you mean, i believe its mixture of self control and structure. We as foodies need structure and walking out with those packages feels like we have it all together even if its not a permanent way of living, i hope its a start to a whole different mindset!
