@wormseed7 are you eating carbs at all?
by (840 points)
@aisha honestly not really, I did notice that eating carbs like breads, pasta even potatoes really bugged my joints. So I’ve cut that out and also anything artificial sugar food items as well. I thought it would be hard but it definitely became apart of my day to day and I’ve found so many other options that I don’t even notice that I miss it or crave it. I started in 2018 and it’s been the best thing ever, I’m a busy mom to a rep hockey kid and I work crazy hours as well my husband is in camp, I found this program very doable with my family and what we have going on.

@wormseed7 that’s a huge weight loss! Good for you to be able to maintain it!

@wormseed7 you look stunning! So much younger wouldn’t even know that was the same person
by (840 points)
@aisha thank you It was a big weight loss but I found out a lot more about myself and also how I was using food as that emotional friend in so many ways. I play with Color and flavour more know with eating and I find that it keeps me not feeling so bla about my food and I also eat local to our season. That was a another game changer eating to our seasons. Found my body was able to brake down the foods better and my body was feeling amazing.

@lombardo well I’m in my early 40’s so 15 years young I’ll take that any day

@junto we were saying you can take 5 people at the same weight and how different everyone holds that weight. I didn’t realize for myself that my weight was even out the way it was, I’m also 5”10 so the height does help.

It took me 12 months to lose 100lbs - but I took 2 3 week vacations where I came off of following protocol (didn’t gain, but didn’t lose, either). It took me another 3 months to drop the last 20 . Honestly, the first few months felt like nothing was happening but after 50lbs we’re off I could really start to see the difference each week after that.

10 months for 100 lbs. the last 10 was the hardest, because there wasn’t as much fat. Went from 250 to 137.

About 11 months. Everyone is different. I am still losing, but I am also over 60. So just keep at it.

I have seen someone lose 100 pounds in 6 months (70 years old and stuck to protocol %100) I have seen someone lose 100 pounds in 1 year (50 years old and followed protocol with some cheats and a lot of exercise) I have seen someone lose 150 pounds in 3 years (60 years old and didn’t often follow protocol)
by (5k points)
I feel like this is an oversimplification and sets people up for failure and comparison. People who don’t lose according to this who are 100% protocol will feel like failures or judged
by (1.4k points)
Everyone is definitely different and ideal protein to me is about a healthy body not how much weight you can lose and how fast you lose it. I’m just stating what I have seen
by (1.4k points)
When you follow the protocol exactly you lose weight faster, and age doesn’t define you. People have lost a lot of weight fast on the protocol. I believe that is extremely inspiring!  Not to be compared but to be inspired or motivated by others results!

Every journey is different, don't focus on the time it takes, focus on the good eating habbits you are learning and the positive feeling you get when you look in mirror.

I would suggest checking your body fat first. Setting smaller goals at the beginning but keeping 115 as a big picture goal. Reduciing your body fat just a few percentages, which can be done in your first month, can make a huge difference. Contact a clinic and you will be in good hands.

I’ve lost about 100 in 1 year. Avg loss has been about 10 lbs per month. Definitely slowing as I reach my goal.
