Does anyone else get tired of fixing two or three different dinners? Mine, one for my husband and many nights another for my mom.

Make your dinner x3. If they don’t like it they can cook something else.  or just add a carb to their portions. Support at home is VERY important. Have a talk with them about it and say you’d like some support.

I make my husband the same meal. Protein and vegetable. The only thing I make for him is a potato.

I’m there with ya! One son is vegan, one son only eats pizza and chicken, another son and hubby eat absolutely anything, and then there’s me. Sometimes that’s 4 different meals‍♀️.

@beard9059 Make one meal and those who prefer another can make something else.

Agreed. I don’t think I could afford to feed them with this meal plan. It would be a huge waste with the kids.

@aguish I understand, but if we think again, we're actually teaching them and keeping them healthy! ❤

Make one meal for all of the lean protein and a veggie you can have. Add an extra side for them (quinoa, sweet potato/potato, pasta, rice, etc) no need to cook separate meals for everyone.

@footrope my mom is 90 and cannot eat anything she has to bite or chew hard and some times my husband wants casseroles, etc.

@footrope my husbands idea of a healthy veggie is corn
by (34k points)
@deficiency8 So let him make corn if he doesn’t like what you make. Leftovers for you so less veggies to cook for lunch the next day.

@deficiency8 a special diet for someone who needs it is understood. Of course you will cook something separate for her.

My mom lives with us. Both of them eat whatever I cook. I guess I'm lucky!

My husband and I are on the diet together. My kids will usually eat whatever protein I make so it's not too bad because it's just a matter of a side for them but yes it would get old quick.

Yes! It’s hard to stay compliant with all the temptation. This has definitely been challenging especially with everything else going on

It’s a giant pain, but I’ve gotten used to it. ☹️

I try to feed them what I eat at dinner time and just add a carb to the meal for them. There are few exceptions, my daughter will NOT eat fish or seafood so those nights I let her have left over chicken as her protein. Sometimes, if I am making something a bit more expensive (like pan seared scallops for example) then I will throw a Costco pizza in the oven for the kids and my husband and I will enjoy the healthier meal. Do what you can to make it work.

Nope because that is YOUR commitment to yourself to stay on track. You make lots. of real food meals for dinner even on phase 1. Stay Strong

Yes! I fix dinner for myself, something else for my husband, and something else for my kids (who usually want different things)! It’s so exhausting!

@fulcrum54 Yes it's easy to fall into that trap! LOL But our families will be so much healthier if they eat what we do with the meat & veggies. They can add some kind bread and fruit to it.

My family eats what I make. often it’s just a protein and veggies. They usually get butter, cheese, a low carb wrap or maybe a piece of fruit with theirs.
