I’m headed into my second week on the program, I’m 46 and my face is breaking out BAD, like cystic pimples on my chin. Anyone else experiencing this and have any solutions? I’m down 16 lbs which is fantastic but I’m in the beauty industry and just wayyy too old for breakouts

It’s the toxins coming out it will stop and your skin will be better than ever.

@emmett I found mine was bad for about 2 weeks when I started then cleared up after that. I just make sure I use a scrub cleanser in the morning and a cleanser at night. Not special.

@emmett, sounds like hormone related. It should get better.

Unfortunately it depends on how much weight you have to lose because the toxins are stored in your body fat. Some people are very lucky I don’t get any, but others have to deal with it longer.

I lost 90 on the program. I think my first 50 I could feel and see the most effects from releasing the stored toxins and hormones. But, I am super sensitive and probably noticed more than the average person. It was definitely worth it though. I felt/feel a thousand times better now and rarely get blemishes. Kept most of the weight off over 2 years now.

Hormones are stored in fat cells. As you lose those fat cells the hormones will get released into your system. Things might go haywire for a bit and everyone experiences this differently. I’ve gotten my period a weird times when I’m usually super regular.

Give it a little time. It took my body a full month to regulate and calm its self down.  your complexion will be amazing!

It will get better and you’ll have great skin. I have wonderful clear skin while I was on the program. I actually started breaking out once I got into maintenance for a while. I noticed it when I started to incorporate sugars back in. Your hormones go a little wonky when you start a s again when you finish. It will work itself out

If it’s your first time on IP your body is releasing a lot of the hormones that were stored in your fat cells. That’s the reason behind acne and hair loss. It doesn’t happen when you go in IP a second time.

Maybe increase your water to help with flushing of toxins ‍♀️ maybe this may help

Tea tree oil for the acne and it will pass soon. My son got the acne bad and my daughter her acne is gone on IP. So is mine. I think once you detox you will be much better. They have an UP video on skin and hormones, you should watch it.

It might be the food you ate before cleaning itself out of your system.
