Is there a reason on week 1 of starting I lost 8 pounds but now at week 2 , iv only lost 2 pounds? I thought it would slowly kinda go down and average to 2 pounds eventually? Also I was sick this week and had a ton of sugar free cough drops, does anyone think that could play a role? Just weird how I had such a big drop on week 1

This happens to me. When I have a large weight loss my body is only willing to lose so much weight at a time. Also, I tend not to lose much weight if I don't sleep well, if I'm sick or I take too many medications, even when I strictly follow a program. And one weird thing: I will never lose weight eating stir fries. Every body is different. When my Mom and I eat the same foods, same quantities, one if us will lose weight while the other one gains. I hope you're feeling better!

I’ve had zero cheats in my 6 months and some weeks I have had gains, there is no explanation. It sucks! I just keep reminding myself this is a lifestyle change, stay the course @victorie, it will happen! I get very angry and depressed at times, but I just keep pushing! We are here for you!

Week one you generally flush a bunch of water weight. Week 2 and 3 will are generally disappointing. 2 pounds in week 2 is actually really good.

Always look at average if it comes to 2 a week that is normal , more is a bonus ! Your average is 5 a week .

2lbs after an 8lb loss is amazing!

Week one is mostly water weight and little fat. It is almost always a larger number than the 2-3 per week average.

I think a lot of the weight you lose in week one is water weight. 2-3 lbs a week is a good amount. Hang in there!
