I am going on a short trip to visit family this weekend and some of my relatives are food pushers. Little nervous about staying at their house. Thinking of asking to go to the grocery store when I arrive to get some protocol food items. I will be taking IP packets as well. Feel bad since I am sure they are planning meals/etc. I have already given them a heads up. Any recommendations? I am down 20 pounds and want to keep going!

Be kind but committed. Tell them how great you are feeling and do your best to make a trip to the grocery store so you can take care of yourself. You might also let them know that every time you cheat, it costs you time and money to get back to ketosis. Someone did the math in a post and figured that each time you get out of ketosis, it costs about $72 to get back to it. Sending you commitment vibes to help you stay strong! Make sure you have a strategy to handle family triggers that would normally make you want to eat. There are other ways to handle it.

I take “my food” with me! Frozen - and just thaw it out to enjoy with everyone else. Once they see your progress & your commitment to being the BEST YOU - they will be very supportive!

I take those shredded salad kits. Then for dinner I can add the meat to my salad or have my salad with it. I use my olive oil and a pinch of vinegar, my salt and pepper. Always take something along.
