My sister whose on it also tells me her coach says it’s ok to have 5 protein packs a day in first week. I thought it’s only 3! Anyone heard of 5 the first week?

I have heard 4 depending on how much you weigh. then work down to 3/day. So like, if you weigh 300+, your coach may have you start w/4 pks. I would chk w/my coach to be sure though.

One of the coaches at my clinic said she started at like 350 or more (can’t remember at this point) and she started on 5 packs a day. My hubs started on 4 at 275lbs. I would just trust your coach, the first week is tough and you need to just get through it without running to your old comfort foods. I started on the IP alternative protocol and was allowed dairy, fruit and bread the first week and if I have a day with a lot of physical activity or I work out I’ll eat a 4th product.

I've heard of 4. Maybe if you're hungry have more packets. I just had 3 on my first week. Chose the lower calorie ones like the shakes.

I do have IP documentation that says you can have up to 5 packets a day in the first week to deal with hunger. Still only one unrestricted. This is old and not sure it's still relevant, but certainly 4 is allowed that first week. Also, if your goal weight (not starting weight, and not current weight) is over 200lbs, you are allowed more packets per day, one more for each 40lbs over a goal weight of 200.

Sounds like a discussion to have with your coach who should be up to date with protocol
