Does anyone have experience with traveling to 3rd world countries while on phase 1? I'm going to Uganda next month and just started IP this week. I will have been on the program for about 3 weeks by the time I go. The food where we'll be staying is mostly carbs. ‍♀️ And, to be culturally sensitive, I will be eating what they make for me in the little village we'll be in. I can take IP foods with me, but I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this and has tips or tricks?! Otherwise I'll just jump off the wagon. FOR 2 WEEKS while we're there. :(

That’s a lot of IP food to take.  I would just try to eat low carb while there but then again you said it’s carby food. That’s quite a challenge you have.

Why don't you phase off and restart when you come back. It would make it much easier for you! It is not as if you are going to a major city, where it would be easy.

I went to South Africa 2 years ago and just phased off. It's really hard. I just made smart choices and stayed away from bread, rice and potatoes as much as I could. But you gotta eat and enjoy your trip. I think I only gained 4 lbs over 3 weeks.
