My question is around the daily caloric intake of the program. I started the program at over 300 lbs and I am 50 yrs old. I am eating one extra packet per day. Do you know the average daily caloric intake of this? And then what is the average daily calories burned with no exercise for someone of my size and age?

I'm older than you and have an extremely slow metabolism. You dont need to work out on this diet. for me, i lost around 1 lb a week. for me, i was eating about 800 cals a day to lose weight. i dont know what you started with. for example, if you were eating 3, 000 cals a day and now youre eating 1, 500 cals a day, youre going to see progress. just focus on that. dont worry that you may need an extra packet per day. focus on the scale is moving in the right direction. once your body is used to the program, about 3-4 weeks, you can eventually cut out the 4th packet.

It also depends on which packets you’re choosing. The drinks, puddings and soups are lower calories than items such as Mac and cheese, pancakes etc. plus it also depends on what protein you choose at night . seafood and fish will be less calories than steak etc . just stick to the sheet and you will lose. Dont worry about the calories just follow the sheet, because it all depends on what combination of food that will very in calories. I started at over 300lbs too but I always only had 3 packets with the odd time I add in a jello.

We are all supposed to be very little exercise. Nothing that makes you out of breath.

Started 279 with 4 packets, drop to 3 when under 200, I’m almost there and am nervous about just doing 3!

I lost 80 lbs on IP and never knew how many calories I was eating. I just followed the sheet. And I did have a fourth packet sometimes. I was also 50 when I did IP. I have been in maintenance now for about six months.

I started out at 310 i only ever did 3 packets. I take in between 925 and 1100 I now weigh 202. Your coach should be able to look at your journal and give you guidance

I started at 321 in September and eat 3 packets a day. I am currently 228. I’m 35 and have not been working out while doing this.

I started in the 170s and now in the 150s. Sometimes (maybe once every 2 weeks) I have an extra packet in a day. If you feel you need it to stay consistent and are still losing, I think it's fine.
