I think all mine relate to simultaneously being in quarantine. Pre quarantine I was fine.

Am I anxious? Yup! Do I think it is food related? Nah, before the madness I was pretty chill. That said, it is okay to feel anxious and flustered. It's normal to feel things during periods of adverisity. This diet is my way of snatching back some control. Does that mean that's how you feel? No. Everyone is different. Do your best, you can do it. It's okay to feel bad, but you can also make choices future you can be proud of.

@penstemon5 that’s what I think too!

@penstemon5 thank you for your answer, I appreciate it. I think the anxiety I'm having is a combo of starting the plan and the pandemic emerging around the same time.

When I first transitioned into ketosis I had some issues. It lasted about a week and then normalized. Good luck!

Yes, it directly affects my mood. I believe it is related to my hormones from losing weight but I deal with a definite increase in anxiety and depression when I am on the diet. I wish they would teach the coaches more about this.

I completely forgot my coach did specifically mention this! They said hormones trapped in your fat may release as you lose and make you feel weird!

Any diet does that to me. Emotions restored in fat. as it moves and changes our emotions are brought up.

Yes the anxiety was much worse after a couple of weeks in but tapered off. Hang in there, you will get past it.

Estrogen is stored in fat. As you lose weight, your body releases stored estrogen. Estrogen makes us hormonal!

Wow, I had no idea. That might explain crying over weird things lol

It should taper off. Many mental health concerns are caused by inflammation in the brain (caused often by insulin resistance and sugar! ) As you go, you may notice some hormone fluctuations, but overall you’re doing a great thing by resetting insulin resistance. I stay low carb ongoing to continue the decreases inflammation (which in me, shows up in arthritis, asthma m, eczema, and acne. all of which also disappear with low carb and/or P1! ) Keep it up! These are stressful times for anyone ❤️

I have experienced lots of anxiety this week being quarantined. I combat it by napping. I heard a pastor describe the anxiety as fear, and the way to fight it is by recognizing it as fear, reaching out to others, and prayer.

I wonder if you think that as you put your money in the bank or feed your kids.

The first month is rough, because your hormones and everything else is running amuck, after everything gets settled you should feel better. I know my anxiety went away.

Yes for me the mood swings were horrible but then I got over it. I don't know how or when, just faded away

This is brought on by detoxing OFF sugar. Detoxing off sugar is worse than cocaine!

Detox can be a difficult process for the first 3 weeks. Our fat cells store hormones, toxins, etc. As we are releasing the fat to be eliminated through our liver and lymphatic system we can have some severe hormonal symptoms. It will pass. Drink tons of water & try to stay to yourself - just kidding :)

I was not fit to look at yesterday. I was mad with the world and for no reason. ‍♀️‍♀️ Happy to report, today was a better day.
