Is everyone’s clinics still charging the $60 monthly appointment fee even if you aren’t going in because of COVID!? And I’ve had no phone call appointments.

There are no fees just food prices. Your clinic is trying to make a little on the side apparently. Go somewhere else

Mine charges no fees, not even a start up fee. The cost of the food is high enough by itself.

Never had a monthly appointment fee. only had a one time initial fee and nothing else. I just buy the food and that is supposed to cover your meetings with coach.

Hi! Each clinic has their own fees associated with the program. Are you still working with your coach?
by (2k points)
@lashio36006 no haven’t heard from them at all and COVID has kind of messed things up for my family.
by (10.4k points)
@ignatius I just sent you a pm

Yes it has a program fee of $60 a month. ‍♀️

@ignatius thats wild ! I would be looking for a new clinic if possible, the food is already expensive enough. I think your clinic is adding extra for themselves.

The minimum retail per box per Ideal Protein is $29. 60 and $31. 10 for ready mades and wafers but clinics can charge more than that if they choose. For our area, we’ve always just charged the minimum retail.

by (760 points)
@ignatius thank you for initiating this! I hope everything works out for you. I've read through every response and it looks like there only a few of us that have to pay an ongoing monthly fee. This is crazy. I will also be looking into other options.
by (2k points)
@paludal you are so welcome. Pretty eye opening. I really thought everyone paid this fee but was seeing who was having to pay during this difficult time. I pm’ed you too.

Hi! I am a coach and we don’t charge coaching fees. It’s odd to me that yours does.
by (1.4k points)
@pons84791 just curious. does Ideal Protein regulate and/or suggest the fees?
by (11.6k points)
@suprematism no not at all. There are minimum suggested food prices, but every clinic is different as far as sign up fees or if they charge a separate coaching fee. I’m a pharmacist and ip Clinic owner for 7 years. We have a consult fee but have never charged coaching fees as long as that dieter was purchasing food from us.

Thank you all. This has been eye opening to say the least. I was told I would get my refund for May for said $60 program fee. I do plan to restart program soon at another clinic that doesn’t charge “extra” fees that 99% don’t charge.

You should report the clinic and get all your money back that is call FRAUD plain and simple. It’s only initiation and the food.
by (1.1k points)
Not really, clinics are allowed to choose what they charge. Some charge large start-up fee’s, some don’t? If you find a clinic, agree to their fee’s and pay them, you can’t then get your money back after using their services because you found out other clinics do things differently?

by (9.2k points)
No monthly fee in Fort Worth. We do get charged $200 every month for our vitamins but as long as l get at least 3boxes a week no charge. If I decide to go no boxes than there is a service fee but it’s only $45.
