Best answer
Net carbs should be around 40-50

@potamic this is what I’ve been told from fellow participants. I track my food on the ip app and even with following protocol sometimes I’m over these numbers

@emersonemery where are you getting the carbs from?
by (7.6k points)
@chokedamp fellow people on the ideal protein site. Usually I’m around that as well

Today’s around 43

@emersonemery i mean what is the sourse of your carbs if you're following the ip plan?
by (7.6k points)
@chokedamp from the packets, protein, and veggies I think that’s what your asking
by (10.7k points)
@emersonemery but aren't you saying you are going over allowed carb intake?

I meet with the coach this Saturday. I will be sure and ask. Thanks

@chokedamp no from what people have said our intake is 40-50 but even with following plan depending on what packets I eat sometimes it’s more than that but only around 55 or so . I follow the plan, just input everything in the app and just let the plan work it’s magic

I have the start-up bag for the first week. However, with all the different varieties they gave me, it just seems like there’s a big difference in the carb total on some of the products, especially the “one a day restricted” items.

I am going to look in getting the app.
by (7.6k points)
@potamic it’s true and depends on what products u eat. Some people don’t eat a restricted and some do. I try to eat a restricted in the morning but that’s my preference, if I have something with higher carbs such as a pancake or trail mix, I would have my third packet as a shake, drink mix or soup. It all depends on you. But the rule of the plan is to have 2 packets, 1 restricted, 4-6 ounces of protein(United states) and 4 cups of veggies. I let the plan do it’s magic. I’ve lost 31 pounds in 11 weeks

@potamic I forget what I had to do to get it

Thanks for the input. I am still in the Learning phase

@potamic me too. I just follow the plan. I do weigh my self every day and if the scale doesn’t move closer to a week, I eat 4 packets a day for 1-3 days and no protein to get the scale moving.

From what I'm adding up, I'm getting about 25 to 30 carbs daily. That's meat veggies and ideal protein food combined.
by (7.6k points)
@subtrahend what packets do u eat?
by (760 points)
Choc pancake, nacho cheese doritos, salted caramel clusters.
by (2.1k points)
@subtrahend on my boxes its 28 carbs just from 1 Dorados and 1 choc chip pancakes. How can those, salted caramel clusters, meat and veggies only be adding up to 25-30 carbs daily?
by (760 points)
It's net carbs.

If you eat your 3 packets per day and your 4-6 oz lean protein and your vegetables there is no need to count carbs.
by (300 points)
I was just curious because I like to use the Ip salad dressing on my 4 cups of daily vegetables.
by (10.1k points)
@potamic that’s allowed. You get 4 extras per day

Good question! I just realized that every cup of frozen riced cauliflower has 5 grams of carbs! Yikes! That can’t be good?!?!
by (3.1k points)
@camphor1444 is that net carbs? I don’t think I’ve even looked. I just assumed vegetables would be low.

@alienation58 no idea! I don’t even know what that means! I just eat the sheet and try not to think about it! No more looking at labels for me! Lol
