Deli meat has hidden ingredients, there are a lot of the grocery apps that have the ingredients listed. Just go through and check. However I do eat it from time to time in a pinch and it hasn’t interfered. But every body is different.

Check the ingredients. Most of them have added sugar. There are some out there but you have to be diligent to check.

No, because of additives. Ask your meat department. There is a brand of turkey/chicken that comes without additives. Janeva has talked about it.

Despite stating lean it is almost always a fatty cut of meat. Lean just means leaner than another brand of deli meat.

My husband just lost over 80# and he ate Boars Head sundried tomato & rosemary ham. There was no sugar and check the carbs I think it was 1. Usually the deli has a book that you can check. He used it as a snack.
