I have all these great tools to help me live out the rest of my life healthy. It’s just up to me to continue to use them. I’ve been doing IP for at least twice a year for the last 5 years and I continue to learn something new each time!

@peculate I have to agree with you. Those tools have helped me even when I've slipped up.

@spinal yes! Me too! I slipped up slightly this weekend celebrating my husband’s 50th bday. However, I didn’t use the slip up as a gateway to just completely go off protocol. This is actually the first time I’ve done this and I’m really proud of myself. I also don’t feel guilty.

I’m not sure about life after IP but life during iP is being able to put on any article of my clothing without it being too tight or not fitting right!

@quarry43049 it's so nice when all you have to worry about is if the colors match. Great job!

For me it's being hugged closer, to bend & breathe at the same time, to fit in chairs & to not feel uncomfortable in my own skin when I go in public. At 345 lbs it felt like EVERYONE stared at me
by (1.2k points)
@huambo we are kindred spirits. I started @344. Now you can strut your stuff cuz you aren't the "big" girl in the room.

I love being able to wear the same size I did in high school, not be embarrassed to go out in public, feeling comfortable in my own skin, not being afraid of getting my picture taken! ❤ SO many great things!

There are a lot of simple pleasures. Being able to cross my legs and having the foot on the crossed leg rest on the floor, having an easy time trimming my toenails, no longer having mental bandwidth taken up with thinking about unhealthy habits and eating, being able to fit back into clothes I outgrew, knowing I am perhaps extending my life, quality of life and mobility when elderly.

Not being the "biggest" person in the room!
by (5.8k points)
@nanny78 I used to check the room to see if there was someone larger. Often times there wasn't.

My arthritis pain is gone. It's TRUE that sugars carbs cause inflammation just hope I can stay true after the program because my body finally feels like a 34 year old should feel. After seeing rheumatologist and dr bills and trying different arthritis medications I just had to clean up my food and now I'm not taking anything and can move my joints

Fitting into skinny jeans. I have a favorite dress that has been hanging in the back of my closet. I’m almost the size where I can wear it again.
