I am going to do a reboot this week. I just had a quick question. Hey can’t we exercise (running) on the program, why only light walking? How does it slow the weight loss process down?

You can exercise, everyone’s body is different with how it responds. Keep in mind that it will slow down your progress. You may need to eat an extra packet and make sure you communicate with your coach.

You are only eating between 700-950 calories per day. Your body needs those calories to operate your body at rest. If you exercise at a level Beyond light activity/exercise, your body will be forced get the additional fuel it needs by feeding on your lean muscle mass. We do not want to lose muscle. After the first 3 weeks of adjustment, you can add in lighter exercise. Drink BCAAs during your activity. If you will burn 200-300 calories, add an extra unrestricted within 30 mins of working out. If you will burn 300+ activities you can switch to the IP Plan for athletes which adds one grain, one fruit and one dairy per day. You will need the added carbs to fuel your workouts.

You’re body is only getting a minimum of calories. If you exercise where you can’t talk, your body will require instant energy. It will pull from muscles including your heart muscle. That’s why it’s dangerous to do vigorous exercise on this program. Walking and light exercise is good but listen to your body. If you feel weak or shaky, it’s too much. You may hear from others that they are fine doing it, but it puts your body at a huge health risk. Listen to your coach & the experts who came up with the program.

I’ve been a heavy exerciser since day 1 with both weight training and cardio. My coach said to add protein or a packet if I felt weak.

Be careful exercising while on program. in ketosis a fine line of burning muscle vs fat. reminder your heart is a muscle. why they say “lite exercise” The Ideal Protein Alternative plan designed for athletes n diabetics u can exercise. dont get IP Alternative plan confused with using using other products. its still same plan jus adding fruits, grains, dairy
