What is happening  I went down to 260 - which was my 10lb mark! That night I did end up having a girls night and a couple glasses of wine (do not recommend ever). Then I shot up to 263 for 3days then went down to 261 and now today I’m back up to 262. wtf?

I’m Sorry. Perhaps it was the carbs and it took you out of Ketosis or just water retention. I do vodka if I have a drink only with lime and seltzer but I try to avoid booze as it’s not in diet and it makes me hungrier the following day. But at least unlike wine it’s zero carbs.

@trimble ugh I know. When I’ve done that a few times my week of weight loss is basically nil to minimal. It’s so friggin easy to do in a heartbeat!

@merilynmeringue you should research what happens if you drink alcohol while in ketosis. It is very very very dangerous!

@production oh I know! One could pass out. By having the very littlest I was a cheap date . I rarely have done it and was extremely careful. Yikes! Some people can pass out from a sip or two.

You'll need to give it time. Unfortunately going off protocol can cause issues. But soon you'll be back on track. Stick to the sheet. It really works. Good luck.

Week to get into ketosis for me and 30 seconds to be out of ketosis. Cheats are just not worth it to me ever. This program costs way too much to cheat. I will perhaps take more liberties in phase 2 but that’s it. Stick to it! It works. You will be back to losing in no time.

When I started my journey a year ago I wasn’t ready to give up alcohol so I did another program that allowed 2 drinks per week & stuck to that. Went down almost 90 lbs! But once I realized I can’t drink anymore due to my migraines I hopped on IP lol! Maybe look into other programs where you can have an occasional drink because you don’t want to go through weight gain, possible health problems & outta fat burn. You want to enjoy your life & be able to maintain your new lifestyle daily ♥️

I’m glad you’re ok. It could have turned out very bad for you. Please don’t drink alcohol again while on IP. It’s going to take you a few days to get back into ketosis.

@trimble really? Maybe she isn’t aware. That is one of the first things coaches should learn and advise their clients. People on IP have actually blacked out and been injured seriously after drinking alcohol. Some have even been hospitalized.

IP requires coaches to review the no-alcohol policy and is supposed to have you sign a form acknowledging that you have been told that alcohol is extremely dangerous while in ketosis and is not allowed while on IP.

You cannot cheat while in weight loss and once off you need to avoid wine for special occasions only. You will gain back if you drink too much wine. It is only for a few months. Give it up.

I think it is more than just being knocked out of ketosis. I think your body is trying to recover from a near-death experience. If your liver has to process alcohol while in ketosis, it is not also able to sustain life for long.
