I have a couple of things that I don't like, but have a whole box (less 1 packet) to use up. What do you guys do when this happens? Any suggestions for the: Chicken A La King? Or the omelette?

My center has a "give and take" box. It's filled with unopened packets that you can choose from and swap one for one.

Cook some peppers, spinach and mushrooms and add them, with a bit of egg white to the omelette mix. It’s pretty good done like that. Put the chicken a la king over some cooked vegetables

@anastice yes. I did it with the chilli and also brocolli cheese soup. It all helps to add some flavour and get the vegetables in.

@tierney - when you add egg whites to the omelette whisk a lot - fluff it up! You might even change your mind about this item

@kampmeier it was a game changer for me and my go to breakfast.

@anastice you either love or hate it, with many of the products. You will quickly figure out your favourites. Good luck with it all.

Put the chicken ala king over cauliflower rice. Add fresh chicken chunks and veggies.

Herb Omelet Egg Bake *1 packet IP herb omelet mix *1/3 cup egg whites only, (subtract from dinner protein) *2 tsp allowed oil *2 cups of chopped veggies, your choice seasoned. *seasonings: garlic powder or minced garlic, salt, pepper, minced onion flakes or green onions, Mrs. Dash Spicy saute 2 cups of chopped veggies your choice in 2 tsp required oil. I personally use, spinach, zucchini, bell peppers, mushrooms, broccoli slaw. I have added riced cauliflower before as well. Set cooked veggies aside to cool. In shaker bottle, add your required amount of water for omelet mix- 5 oz, & the 1/3 cup egg whites only, the packet of herb mix, spices of choice & shake up well. Pour shaker in large enough mixing bowl & combine in the cooled, sauteed veggies. Spray pan with cooking spray, pour in, bake at a 350 oven for 55 minutes depending on your oven. You want it to set up all over, especially middle. I like to bake mine to a golden brownish color. I set a piece of tin foil over mine the last 6 minutes, to make sure it doesn't burn. Sometimes I have to add more time depending on my veggies. I let it sit a it before I eat it. The pan I have is a 8X8 X1&3/4 deep, round pan that works perfectly for this. I've made this a couple times and really liked it. It made a huge amount. Topped it with some salsa.

I mixed the omlett with less water, added my oil and IP salt and put it Into my waffle maker. It wasn’t too bad. I’ve also added an extra egg and lots of veggies and made a bigger omlete.

When there are packets I don't particularly like, I will use them as a sauce with sauteed veggies and a protein, with lots of yummy spices (if you have not cooked with Tony Chachere's cajun spices, especially the Spicy version, you are missing out on something). Good luck!
