How do you season your mashed cauliflower? I don't think just garlic, salt, and pepper is going to cut it. (And I don't want it to be a disaster like my mashed turnips! )

Fresh garlic, Cajun seasoning, onion powder, Kinders buttery steakhouse seasoning, ounce of whole milk and butter flavored olive oil. Top with green onions.

@adsorbent98 yes! There are various flavors available. Here’s an example of a butter flavored olive oil

Onion powder, garlic powder, parsley flakes, salt and pepper. Sometimes I’ll add in a little horseradish if we’re having beef

I haven’t been able to mash it to a palatable consistency without with milk and butter I use when not on protocol. I MUCH prefer it as a rice substitute, and you can season stir fry style, Indian, Thai, Mexican, etc. But someone else one here suggested using it as a sub for oatmeal and seasoning with cinnamon. I was skeptical, but it was actually pretty good.

I sprinkle just the tiniest amount of shaker cheddar cheese. I am not sure if this is bad but I wouldn’t even put on 1 tsp.

I just add olive oil, garlic powder, sea salt, and dill. Run it all thru the food processor!

I’ve done all the above and sometimes do a Mexican feel with cumin, chili powder, etc

@aristate I do this as well. I make taco turkey and eat it on a bed of shredded lettuce.

@duodecimal5 yes. I saw that on a post. It’s on the IP website. They say it has carbs. I’m personally not too concerned about that. ‍♀️

@duodecimal5 I think she referred to using a tablespoon of garlic powder at a time( and who does that? )and she did not list how many calories or carbs it’s supposed to have. I think it was fake news.

I like it with my allowed olive oil plus garlic and a little salt. I have never heard that garlic powder is not allowed, garlic itself is allowed. Even when I’m on maintenance I prefer mashed cauliflower to mashed potatoes.

I roast mine alongside a head of garlic and then put it all in my Vitamix (or food processor) with salt, pepper and some chicken broth. It’s so yummy.
