I will learn so much my question is so when friends and family want to go out what do I do ? What do I drink ? Just water . I want to know these things ahead of time . Anything is helpful. Don’t want to make it a big deal and don’t want to stay home Thanks

I went through the holidays drinking a lot of “blue dolphins” which is a glass of water over ice the cranberry drink is also a good one to have. I’ve also done hot chocolate with the drink mix for bonfires. It’s a whole new ball game for me but I just explain that I’m on a strict protocol and it’s a “metabolic reset” usually people stop asking questions❤️

Flavoured carbonated water is usually my go to. I put it in a wine glass with slice of lemon or lime. At Restaurants usually just water with lemon and tea.

I meet for coffee with friends. I bring a pre-made cappuccino or vanilla drink, order a double espresso in a venti cup of ice, pour it in and drink away. For lunch. I usually get salad, no dressing (bring your own), no cheese with water add a water enhancer then enjoy your lunch/dinner. It really isn’t that hard, places accommodate for the most part. if they have a diabetic menu option order that. You can do this!

Of course, that. IS part of life . I stick with water or black coffee. most every restaurant has some low carb options. lemon chicken or steak with salad. careful with vegetables because they may have added something you dont want

Well, coming from me I will have to tell you it isn’t always easy.  I still went out and eventually found that not drinking was no biggie. Yeah it kinda sucked at times but the energy and great feeling the next day was awesome. I drink seltzer with lime or lemon when we are out. Be prepared. Set your mind to not cave as it will defeat all the hard work up to that point. Bring my own when we go to picnics, partys and friends houses. Explaining why I’m not drinking when people would notice was always fun. Many laughs from “What are you pregnant? ” to “ Are you not drinking by choice”. All in all, eventually I let all in on my weight loss journey and just explained I’m on a weight loss program through my doctor and alcohol is not recommended. Everyone understood and would congratulate me. It is a will power not to give in but YOU GOT THIS! It’s only temporary. There will be many more party’s and nights out when you reach the end. We still go out for dinner too. Once again be prepared. Just have to figure out what places to go to stay in protocol. I can give you suggestions. And be prepared. Bring dressing with you and if nothing works, eat salad with a protein. Most places are very accommodating. Again @solomon YOU GOT THIS! If I can do it, you can.

Before IP, I was addicted to Amped energy drinks but now I have club soda with the crystal lite liquid flavors or the Mio lemon lime and it totally feels like I'm having a pop

I always get shrimp to start and a Deconstructed burger (beef or chicken) with everything on side (mushrooms, pickles, onion, lettuce, tomato) with cucumbers and celery and sparking water in a wine glass with lots of limes.

I can usually find a salad and ask to 86 all the no-nos (cheese, avocado, nuts, etc). Steak, or grilled chicken with steamed veggies, but always ask if they add butter to the veggies AND the meat, and what’s in the marinade. Some restaurants will just put a plain 6oz steak on the grill for you.

That said-this is my third go round. My first time I lost all the weight I wanted, but I went out regularly. This time I’m trying to stay as completely in control of my own food as possible, and so far the weight is coming off faster.

If you forget salad dressing try EVOO and lots of lemons. Very tasty

I’m on day 16 and have learned that preparing ahead (mindset, food/snacks, looking at menu, etc. ) makes all the difference! I had a stressful work day last week and poured sparking water in a wine glass. It def wasn’t wine, but did help.

I just had this experience Over the weekend! And I found the most places are pretty accommodating :-) I have some of the IP water enhancers, and I either mix that with water or club soda or the bubly brand sparkling water!
