You gotta weigh veggies before you cook.

As mentioned above, weigh raw following the chart. After awhile, you will be able to make a good guess as to portion size when eating out or at another's home.

May you could measure 2 cups raw. Cook. Then weigh to see what they convert to?

If you are weighing raw, then cook. do you input food in journal as raw or cooked?

I just reread an email from IP Corporate regarding my question on weighing vs. measuring. Their answer was that veggies are supposed to be measured.

@masseur tricky parts would be 2 cups cauliflower florettes vs riced. Weight would be weigh more (see what I did there? ) accurate.

In all honesty I don't know how accurate this is, but I use it

**it is not accurate as far as protocol changes though (as in what is unlimited, select, and occasional)

Family of 4. I just make 4 servings all my size. So 8 cups of veggies. Separate into servings after cooking. Sometimes the kids will split a serving, then I know I will have an extra leftover-already measured.
