I need advice.  We have my husbands presidents club trip next weekend.I need advice. We have my husbands presidents club trip next weekend. Our evenings are planned out for us, down to the meals. This is only our 4th week but we are doing so well. We knew about this going in and decided we’d just do our best to stay on plan the rest of each day. I don’t plan to drink. Wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and how might I expect my body to respond? Is it worth the price of products to take them with us when we are not going to be following protocol for dinners? Should we just celebrate his hard work and reset once home? Aarrgghh! Thanks for any feedback.

Will there be protein and veggies available for dinner? I say keep to the program as best as possible, but I’m not a coach

@lame87127 thanks. We weigh in Saturday and I’ll discuss with coach then. There are proteins but they seem to be cooked in sauces and all include potato dish and carrots. Last year we had salad options but this year it’s a private chef and we are at the mercy of his menu.

@burgle , ugh I’ll be in a similar situation the first week of March. Good luck!

When I travelled during my early days, I took my IP stuff and stayed as close to protocol as possible. The cheating I did was not because of what I DID eat but because of what I couldn't eat. Couldn't always get my veggies in. I always came back losing more weight.

I would eat as close to protocol as possible! Take bars along and eat those for dessert! Or when back at motel! Speaking from experience here. it is not worth going off! Sometime you do need to choose the best of the 2 evils when eating like you will be! Good luck! It's hard being gone be like that!

I would suggest not taking the products and just try to eat low carb. Then get back to your regiment when you get back.

Stay as close to it as you can. Maybe just ask for protein with no sauce and o er the salad that I’m sure they will be serving. It’s SUPER hard to get back on if you go off

It’s a tough position! Your coach will be able to help you with your decision. I went on holidays and took my IP meals and snacks. For me, I knew that if I didn’t stick with it I could jeopardize what I had worked so hard for. That is just me though. Best of luck and have fun!

The one thing I can say from experience is do not drink. In my case drinking led to many poor food choices - hello burger and fries! I *think*as long as you stay on protocol - as much as you can, the damage won’t be too bad.

There are so many people with specific dietary needs these days that just about any chef anywhere is used to accommodating them. If you were diabetic, you wouldn’t eat sugar-laden foods because they were part of a trip. If you were celiac, you would not eat gluten because meals were pre-arranged. Being overweight is a medical condition. Request veggies and proteins without sauces/butter. Then ignore any carrots, peas, potatoes on your plate.

Don't do it! The set back is not worth it. I travel all the time and take my scale, a peeler, knife, oil. Plan ahead and it's not too hard. I take Nick's turkey sticks and they help.

I have called the event planner for my work events and let her know I have strict dietary requirements. The buffets and family style meals, etc will have items made specifically for me. Never hurts to ask and it was nice to see how quickly they responded to my needs. I didn’t explain why-just they are my eating requirements.

I ve done this before & still lost weight. Just eat whatever Meat, veg or salad (dont worry if it's not cooked to protocol) , they offer. Then take IP products to fill in. Of course Stay away from any bread, sweets & fruit.
