I keep seeing references to 6 oz. of protein instead of 8. I did IP like 3 years ago and getting ready to start back. Would someone mind posting in Files the current IP Phase 1 sheet for the United States (I see ones for Canada)? My coach quit but the clinic is still in business/selling food. I lost almost 60 lbs originally but then changed jobs and that threw everything off - especially I had to spend about 20 weeks in hotels the first two years and then was studying for the cpa exam on the side. So, need some help to get back on track - I was SO healthy then, never got sick and had so much energy.
I keep seeing references to 6 oz.

This is the new sheet. They revamped in January of this year. The US has gone to 4-6 oz protein and Canada stayed at 8oz. Minor other changes occurred.

Definitely gotten more difficult.

@sensible it’s really not. I’ve done it off and on since 2015 and it’s the same with some minor veggie changes and they have that new section listed with the Daily Optionals. We can now officially have the shitake noodles as an extra. It’s just getting back on it. For me it was a mental game that took me so long from getting back to it. Finally my mind was right and I jumped back in. 14 pounds down my first month. You know the group is here with any questions. You got this!

Where does one get shitake noodles?

@sensible I get mine at H-E-B in the produce section.

I encourage you to find a coach. That clinic should not be open if it isn't following Ideal Protein's program. The beauty of the program is, it works if done right. Coaching is a major aspect of it. It's one of the top 3 reasons dieters are successful.

But I love you're ready to start again.

Just FYI. You don’t have to follow the new plan. If the old plan worked for you then you can stick with that. I’ve been doing IP at least twice a year for the last 5 years and the original plan works perfect for me.

I would be ok with reducing the protein for dinner. But, I used to live on cucumber and pickles! :)

@sensible were you successfully then? If so, I would suggest sticking with that. Some folks have said that they changed cucumbers from being unlimited because some people were eating up to 8 whole cucumbers a day and weren’t losing. It sounds like they made the changes for those that struggle with losing and or losing large amounts. I say do what works for you!

I was successful . got to within 7 pounds of my goal weight - lost almost 60 pounds until I got a new job that had alot of out-of-state or out-of-city travel for the first 2. 5 years. Now, just travel in and around Austin where I live so much more manageable. I guess I never ate that many cucumbers. After about 2 weeks into the program, I really just was not hungry.

@sensible awesome! Well you can definitely do it again. Yes, I never ate that many cucumbers either! I would think an excessive amount of anything isn’t good for us.

@sensible I still do the old plan and have lost 18. 8 lbs in one month and that included unlimited cucs and pickles

@peculate I eat about 1/2 to one a day.

@mayes31 that’s great! Cucumbers are actually really good for us.

I am sticking to what has worked for me. Sticking with the tried and true old plan.
