I've been at a weight loss plateau for about 3 weeks now. My coach suggested I go on a restart for 2 days. Has anyone done this and if so did it help you get your weight loss moving again?

How much do you have to lose and how much have you loss? I’ve hit plateaus and even had gains with no answers. Not 3 weeks though, that’s tough.

That sounds really hard. I hope you are able to get it moving again soon! I'm interested in what a reset looks like also. Have you tried switching up which IP foods you are eating for lower carb/lower sugar alcohol ones?

I am only half way to my goal and have 40 lbs left to lose. The restart is basically 5 packets a day and 4 cups of veggies. Limited to soups, puddings, shakes and jello packets. No additional protein. You are supposed to do this 2-3 days to get the metabolism moving again

Inches lost during those three weeks?
by (4k points)
No clue. My coach never measured me when I started so I have nothing to compare it to

@bubalo68305 oh my goodness no inches measured?! I’m with the comment above you may need a new coach! Even though the numbers aren’t falling you could still be losing inches and that is better than the number on the scale!

My very first question is are you following the plan 100 percent. Water , supplements etc
by (4k points)
@tasha5 yes, never cheated, I eat the same things week after week and I drink a minimum of 64 oz of water

@bubalo68305 have you checked your thyroid ?
by (4k points)
@tasha5 yep, had blood work last Saturday and all was normal. This is why I am so frustrated. I was losing weight and then bam it just halted and I have no idea why

@bubalo68305 hang in there. Maybe add a little extra activity. Make sure your water and oil intake is adequate. Be sure you are pooping. Get your body composition done. Maybe you are gaining a little muscle.

Yes I have. It works!

@dekow awesome! How many days did you have to do it?
by (780 points)
@bubalo68305 three days. My coach called it a reboot. An IP good for breakfast. IP soup and salad for lunch and dinner for three days. It worked for me. But talk to your coach before you began.

While I have not had to do the restart it all yet, based on times that I have plateaued in other programs in past weight loss Journeys, the theory behind it is that you change the amount of calories coming in, you change the amount of food coming in, and what it does is changes how your body responds because when you hit the plateau a lot of times it's because your body is on the edge of a starvation mode and thinks that it's not getting enough so it slows the weight loss down, this is more common in females because we bare children our bodies don't like to let go of storage just in case sadly it does not get any easier when we get older and come out of childbearing age. So the restart is sound Logic and other people that I've seen post about it have seen success with it so there's nothing to lose, except for more weight!
